Santa Monica Pier

"Always a great place to stop by. This is my second visit here and it’s beautiful. Enjoy the food, vendors with various items from shirts, art, photos, fruit, desserts. There is always some type of performer’s for donations, singers and dancers. Beach is great place to spend time as well. You can park at the pier $ per hr or pay flat rate public parking a short distance away. Recommend a visit."

"Very clean, and good for tourism! I went with my family a few days ago. We walked along the pier and got an eyeful of the local extravaganza and people. The shops on the pier itself are nice. A little overpriced, but for a strong tourist destination, I understand. It was relatively clean and the people were really nice. The pier is very old and rickety, so if you have a stroller or wheelchair be cautious. If you are traveling, I would say stop here. Maybe spend a hour or so, however, don't waste your time on the rides."

"Our first time visiting. The roller coaster wasn't working. It was a great place to visit. And watch the sun set. Was windy & cold for our kiddos. We didn't really enjoy our visit. We plan to come back when the weather is warmer."

"Great place for a family time or a casual hang out! Beautiful views of the water and lots of things to do - from rides to curiosities to restaurants. Make sure you bring a thick wallet with you though as the fun quickly adds up!"

"Santa Monica Pier is definitely a destination to visit. I have been twice and the second time was better, we decided to get a beach cruiser bike and ride from Venice Beach all the way along to Santa Monica Pier. This was a perfect day and such a beautiful ride, the path is wide and plenty of room for everyone, and just a great way to see more than expected. Once arriving at the pier the atmosphere was busy and lots going on, lots to see. We decided to try a pound cake and sit on a bench seat to soak it all in. Our friends decided to go on the rides and had a great time. There was some entertaining street people doing their best to make a living, a little pushy but cool to watch. There are a few quiet places to sit and enjoy a beer and watch all the interesting people walk by. It was a warm day for winter a lot like home in Queensland Australia, but for me personally coming from Australia and living on the Gold Coast, I have seen so many nicer, cleaner beaches and this is not a destination that I would personally set high on my bucket list but still worth a visit."
