About the Business
Located at 867 Ramona Avenue in Grover Beach, California, the Exploration Discovery Center is a museum dedicated to children's education and play with an emphasis on sustainability. The institution is a 501c(3) nonprofit organization formed through a merger with the Children’s Discovery Center of the Central Coast and the former Exploration Station.
After the original Exploration Station closed in 2016, the campus has been revamped with new exhibits and exciting activities for visitors of all ages. The center offers a variety of hands-on experiences and exhibitions to inspire creativity and educate the youth of the central coast.
The board of directors and staff at the Exploration Discovery Center take great pride in serving the local community and visitors, understanding that the joy created at the center benefits everyone and radiates positive energy throughout the community. Admission prices are $15 for adults, $5 for children aged 2-12, and $10 for seniors. "The woman with the short white hair is very mean and aggressive to the children. It’s very unfortunate since this was such a great place to bring the little ones. She was aggressively addressing a couple of kids for not putting the fake fruit away, stating that she’s the owner and she built this place to a 8 year old. I think she needs to retire as she’s forgetting kids are kids. Toys have a tendency to be played with."
"We had a great time! My boys are 3 and 1.5: most was accessible for them, some things were too tall or difficult for them but there is so much available that it wasn’t an issue."
