"A hidden gem in San Ramon are the restored fruit and vegetable gardens behind the old Mudds restaurant, now city park. Rent your own veggie space to grow your own, or volunteer to attend the former orchards and grounds. Lots to do get give back to the earth and community. Uneaten fruits and veggies get donated to local food banks."

"People with a green thumb are right at home here. You can reserve a spot or rent it from the city and have a pretty good patch of land for growing whatever you're good at growing. It's fun to watch people in there working hard at cultivating their spot. Some people have a really productive patches as well. It's a beautiful reprieve from urban living."
