"Len is the best! She spends so much time with her patients and truly takes the time to make sure they have the right medications and the best care. She fully explains each medication that she believes will help me best and takes the time to hear my concerns as well. She is very thorough and I feel incredibly taken care of and safe with her as my provider. The staff is delightful to work with as well!"
"I went in for a routine prescription refill for psychiatry meds (same meds I have been taking for 3 years). I sat in the waiting room until 45 minutes past my appointment time, all while listening to Len Getz loudly discuss one of her other patients' medical history so that I had no choice but to hear it (the doors were closed, but there are large gaps underneath the door, so I could very clearly hear every detail of their conversation, including the patient's full name and their current medications and dosages. This is a blatant HIPAA violation). Then, as the patient before me finally walked out the door, Len shouted "remember to take your 10mg of Prozac, ___ !" as if Len wanted to make absolutely sure that she was violating HIPAA by sharing confidential information, and she did. When I finally got back in to the assessment room, a full hour after my appointment time, Len Getz walked in and right away, and pretty much at random, started accusing me of lying on all my forms. Keep in mind, this is a full hour after my appointment was scheduled to begin, and we did not even have time to say a "Hi, how have you been?" before Len launched into her random, nonsensical accusations. The rest of my half hour spent at her establishment during this visit was spent with Len Getz, loudly enough that everyone else in the building at the time obviously heard the entire conversation (just like how I heard her previous patient's conversation before me), accusing me of various random things. I cannot stress enough how random and illogical her accusations were. For example, at one point she accused me of seeking drugs so that I could abuse them myself or resell them, but the drug she was referring to is prescribed to me at the lowest possible dose allowed (by my own request, specifically so that I did not risk any potentially harmful side effects of that drug). Throughout this tirade, she also insulted me personally by calling me lazy and unstable, told me I should "just switch jobs" if my current one is causing stress, and again accused me of various lifestyle choices/personality traits which she deemed unseemly but that were completely irrelevant to our discussion in the first place (and they were lifestyle choices and personality traits that I do not even have anyway). At the height of this interaction, Getz then threatened to not only deny refills on all my current medications, she also threatened to drop me in total as a patient. The only reason I believe Len Getz did not completely fly off the handle and go through with this absurd threat, is that my girlfriend was in the room with me, and my girlfriend was (over the course of about 20 minutes) luckily able to calm Len's unruly behavior. She mostly accomplished this just by confirming what I already said: that I was not in fact lying and/or guilty of whatever ludicrous things Len was accusing me of. Finally, close to two hours after my appointment time, I was able to leave with my much-needed prescriptions. In summary: Len Getz is not mentally stable. She should be nowhere near a mental health facility unless it is as a patient. This interaction alone seems to suggest her behavior is wildly unpredictable and totally illogical, and this wild unpredictable behavior will do serious harm to her patients if she is allowed to continue practicing in this manner. It is not a matter of if, but when. I was able to get out, thankfully, because I had a witness with me, but I fear for what may happen to her other patients if/when Len has another episode like this and threatens her patient's health, like she did to me. I also fear what could have happened to me if I had been alone that day. To further prove that Len Getz is wholly unqualified to provide the services she advertises: her business also offers botox/filler injections in addition to psychiatry, yet Len Getz has clear evidence of botched botox/filler injections on her own face. I suspect her own mental health is as botched as her botox, so I will never be returning to Len Getz's office."
"At first, Dr. Getz was amazing to work with and helped me understand how my brain works the way it does, but after prescribing different medications, I asked to be taken off of the last one due to the suicidal ideations it caused. Her nurse told her and had her report me, but she never spoke to me to confirm anything or check my mental state (I was completely fine). I was committed to Lakeside Mental Institution (this is not a valid reason to have someone committed, and even after seeing institution doctors, they confirmed I was mentally sound but had to keep me for SEVEN days due to state regulations). When my parents received a very worrisome call, I explained everything, to which they went to Dr. Getz, who confirmed that she lied and that I got everything I deserved because she was tired of trying to help me. I spent a week in this hospital and starved because they could not accommodate my dietary needs, which eventually made me lose 10 pounds and have dangerously low blood pressure. She should have had her license revoked."
"Lynn is one of a kind and she treats her patients as such. I use her services personally as well as refer my therapy clients to her for personalized treatment. She is sharp, knowledgable of a wide range of physical and mental health issues, and compassionate."
"Len is amazing! She takes time with her patients to connect with them and figure out exactly what’s going on. She stays current on the latest research and is eager to try new things. Her office is beautiful and her staff members are kind and helpful. Highly recommend."
