"We did a $15,000 countertop installation using California Countertop in 2006-7. On the next project home we again used them but had to split the projects up. They did the kitchen countertop in 2014. They recently bid a backsplash (out of the same material they had initially steered me toward for the countertop). When I asked some detailed questions, they retracted their bid when I exposed some possible inconsistencies. They have no loyalty to their customer base. The original installation was fraught with mistakes and shortcuts. Corian by DuPont can be seamed with an epoxy which melts the material and hides the seam. They chose NOT to do this behind the range, simply using contractors silicon to “stick” a scrap in that place. Also another local shop in Lakeside came in over a grand cheaper for the same backsplash!"
