"I originally attended a salsa and bachata social dance at Plaza Mariachi where I met Nicole who, after I expressed interest in learning salsa, invited me to take one of her classes. I’ve now been taking classes with Nicole and Nashville Salsa dancing for a bit over six months at this point and I have to say that I’ve not experienced such an inclusive, fun, and friendly dance community in my many years of dance. From absolute beginner to intermediate and beyond, Nashville Salsa will get you social dance ready by introducing a solid foundation that you can build upon over time with their simple to understand progressive classes. Protip! Once you’ve passed a class you can keep taking lower levels free of charge as long as you are taking a class of a higher level that month! For people looking for a deep dive into dance fundamentals it is truly an excellent and cost effective way to receive professional instruction. Nicole and Jae are a lovely team to work with and once you’re taking classes they’ll keep you updated on social events, workshops, and even international dance trips occurring with and around the community! 10/10 a marvelous introduction to the Latin dance scene in Nashville. Also their studio, Nova Dance Port is multi-room, has a full wall of mirrors, has great lighting, has a high quality sound system, and has an excellent dance floor to get your feet wet with dance! Overall I’m highly impressed with my Nashville Salsa experience and expect I’ll be returning for years to come."

"I danced salsa previous to taking classes with Nicole, but I always say my dance journey didn't really begin until I moved to Nashville and started dancing under the advisement of Nicole. Nicole's enthusiasm for teaching salsa is infectious and makes you love salsa (almost) as much as she does. She cares about your development as a dancer and pushes you to keep getting better - if that's what you want to do. She once asked me "what kind of dancer do you want to be?" and that embodies her teaching style. You don't have to take salsa that seriously, of course, but if you do, you couldn't find a better instructor to guide you through your journey than Nicole.
