"So, jeff is suing the bank because his mother, being scammed, transferred her $$ to a bank in Hong Kong. She did as she was told and told the bank it was for a medical issue with a family member. Of course, they are suing for $620,000 ($500,000 over what the mother lost) as they feel the bank should have protected the mother. My question is: if the bank had not allowed the transfer, and it was a legit reason, would they then be suing because it was her $$ to do as she pleased? Double sided sword there."
