"I was in town staying at the hotel next door. And we ate at El Torito 2 nights in a row - for Happy Hour. The food was great but the service by Natalie, was beyond exceptional! She has a great personality, she was amazingly accurate, and food was delivered on time. What made the service so exceptional was that we had about 17-20 people each night. We highly recommend El Torito. To me, I will miss it, as it felt like a home away from home. Thank you Natalie."

"Absolutely fantastic chain of California Mexican restaurants. The food and service are always on point, no matter the location. The chips and salsa are delightfully vibrant flavors, with fresh, perfectly crispy chips. On this visit to the one in West Covina, we tried the happy hour options of queso, salmon tacos, and mini tacos. The salmon tacos were especially fresh and amazing, with perfectly griddled tortillas. The mini tacos were steak and chorizo, the queso included chorizo for an added kick. Our server was helpful and prompt, answering any questions and making suggestions. Happy hour options are extensive and offered Monday through Friday at participating locations, you can check their website to see who's participating."

"First time at this location. Felt service lacked a bit due to us not ordering alcohol. Taco trio plate with chicken was dry and flavorless according to my husband. Extra chips and salsa were never offered, nor were drink refills offered."

"I spent the night by New Year’s Eve, but it was dead music. Everything was just down! however, I do love my buffalo wings and the food the fact that I like that Mexican food makes me want to post this. I used to eat those buffalo wings and Mexican rice when I was 15 or 16 years old. I always ordered the fiesta platter because it has different appetizers and brings buffalo wings. also, the fact that It was my first job ever 1992 I used to get $10 an hour because I knew how to make the seafood that was at El Torito in Manhattan Beach California. I actually know how to make that salsa in a few plates from them. I have nothing but good experiences as my first job I learned to set up the buffet became a bar back food server I did everything and you had to run the show. It was one of the best jobs I ever had we had a night for salsa another night for another one for rap and so on. but the Torito I worked in. Panchito, JORGE, Rivas, Triston, David, El Pollo, Randy Miller Martin, the chef and a whole bunch of other friends that I won’t forget. I love eating at El Torito. I usually order the same plate but this one here needs to bring the atmosphere up a bit more and I will suggest seafood buffet on Sundays. I’ll give you guys the recipe that we used to use scallops with jalapeño butter over linguine or rice. Also shrimps with scallops or clams. Mix with rice and linguini and tomatoes and garlic sauce and to give it a Mexican twist. We put some cilantro and onions on top of it with cotija cheese"
