"Do not move here. These people are horrible in every way. The property manager Vanessa is an absolute dunce and the maintenance team is slow or never comes, left us without clean water for over a week. They upcharge all the utilities. I'm talking $60 for sewer. And they flooded our first unit with hundreds of gallons of water because said maintenance idiots didn't install the above units washer and dryer correctly. Best part is now they are suing us for the damages caused by the flooding. On top of that we are sent a notice to pay rent immediately after being served court documents yet they have locked our account leaving me unable to pay. There is so so so so much many more issues here that i dont think i could fit it in one reveiw. Under no circumstances should you ever live here."

"I just met with the new project manager and met everyone. It was a great experience. Everyone is so kind . I have lived here almost 2 yrs. It's a quiet place to live. Except I can't get a new dishwasher I been asking for one about a year. My floors are coming up. But a few little complaints is ok. I love living here."

"My experience with Southpoint is relatively mixed. The good: Nice floor plans: I lived on the top floor and you get vaulted ceilings in some units. It makes the place feel a little more spacious. Balconies: most units get a balcony. Mine was enormous, a nice addition I didn’t expect. Nice staff: I’ve never had a bad encounter with management. They’re usually very helpful and nice with the stresses that accompany managing a complex. No tricks or hangups as I began to move out. Close to the airport: For being 5 minutes from the airport, it seems flight paths don’t go over the apartment complex. Convenient if you travel a lot. Gym: Awesome gym, great equipment. I didn’t use any other amenities. The bad: Laundry room: The laundry room is a total scam. The machines are wildly shallow so you can fit maybe half a load of laundry inside. Don’t even try to wash 2 large blankets at one. They will not clean your clothes with one cycle. I would often spend $8-$10 in quarters to have my HALF load of laundry finally clean and not have any residual detergent… sometimes I would have my clothes still be straight up dry! They need to update those pieces of junk and lower the price to start the machines… not to mention they’re coin operated so better save that change. If your unit doesn’t have machines inside. It’s going to be a pain. Overpriced: I decided to end my lease after seeing a 12 month lease was 1,200 a month for my one bedroom. Not a bad price for Nashville… but this is Hermitage… in the middle of basically nowhere. Don’t get me wrong, there’s a park, hiking trails, and the lake. But that’s not worth the price to me. Especially during the winter. I moved to East Nashville for the same price and same square footage. Electric bill: seen this complaint from a few people. My electric bill was consistently way too high. My suspicion is the outdated thermostat. The thermostat: my ac was broken when I moved in. Maintenance gave me a window unit which I appreciated. When the central air would come on it was loud and really annoying to have running. Thin walls: Title says it all Not clean: my unit was renovated but there was a strong odor of cigarettes and chemicals when I moved in. The screen door was coated in tar from the past tenant (im assuming they smoked so I can’t knock the complex for that) really dusty when I moved in though. Lacking security: a single lock kept my door secured. I’m no locksmith but I think anyone could break in. I installed a doorstop for peace of mind. Close to the airport: I had this listed as a pro but you will have to deal with the eastbound traffic on the way home if you’re working in the city. It sounds like I’m being nitpicky but it’s worse than 65 north. My commute from Brentwood to the complex could take over a hour on a normal day. Lots of gas. Also I didn’t have a door to my bedroom…? Kinda weird Overall, it’s a roof over your head. If you think it’s worth it, go for it. But for my needs, I had to leave. Would I move in again? Maybe.. if I had a job nearby."
