6228 Music City Apartments

"I honestly wish I could give this place 0 stars based on the management group that oversees this place. I moved in at the end of this past November and really was excited about this apt. It was brand new and I was the first renter in my apartment. First thing I noticed was the apartment hadn't been properly cleaned before I moved in. I called the office and spoke with the then site manager, Sierra, who was so helpful and apologetic - she hired a crew to come clean the apartment again at no charge to me. I felt as though I had moved into the right place with her timely response to my issue. Sierra was a great property manager, but she left in January and things have gone downhill since. As time has gone on, I've found my apartment has very cheap appliances - the HVAC has had to be worked on TWICE in 3 months, the dishwasher is extremely loud and sometimes doesn't want to work, the microwave poorly heats anything (I always have to add time to food, even when I'm already using the max time on the instructions), the water pressure is not consistent in the shower (even with the head replaced), the stacked washer/dryer unit has been a big issue (more on that below). I've also noticed the fixtures, cabinets, even flooring is all sub-par at best. I have owned a home and did lots of upgrades to it, economically at that, so I know it doesn't take THAT much to get good quality in a place. Granted, I realize this is an apartment building and thus they are trying to keep costs low, but these things are bottom of the barrel in my opinion. I had an issue with the washer not getting my clothes cleaned properly, leaving strange marks and residue on them. I first thought it was maybe a detergent issue on my end, but even without using the detergent (as a test) I was still having issues. I put in a maintenance request January 7th to have it checked out. The issue has persisted with multiple visits from maintenance, a visit from a GE technician and even replacing my washer with a "new" one. Management first refused to do anything for me and said it was a detergent issue. I fought them on that, I changed detergent to appease them (it made no difference). I again even tested without detergent and proved to them that it had to be the washer itself. After getting little help from anyone, I bought my own washer and dryer and asked to be allowed to put it in. Management refused. As of the end of February, they've stated this is my issue and they will be doing nothing further for me. I'm currently doing laundry at my parents' across town just so no more clothes are ruined. It's been a massive inconvenience to not be able to do laundry in my OWN apartment that I pay a good amount of rent for. And the lack of empathy, any desire to help me and find a real resolution from management has been really disheartening. (I have attached pictures below of the clothes - the same ones I've shown management). Also...It can not be over-stated the lack of communication from this company during this whole ordeal as well. I was promised phone calls and emails I never received, unless I kept reaching back out asking for a response. I was patient and kind with everyone I dealt with and it seemed to make no difference. Needless to say, I highly recommend you NOT move here. I will not be re-signing when my lease is up. They're all about getting you in the building and then don't care about any issues you may have. Cameron, the new office manager (former leasing agent) doesn't seem to have a clue about anything - every convo I've had with her was quite pointless. One last thing...about a month ago I noticed someone had let their dog poop in the stairway. I gave it a few days to see if it would be cleaned up by the owner. 4 days later the poop was still there so I notified management and they said they'd take care of it. Last week I saw the poop was STILL there after several weeks. It took another email complaint for it finally to be taken care of. This place isn't even 20% occupied, I can't imagine how poor it will be managed when it's full. Buyer beware."

"This is a great place to stay and the staff is very friendly I couldn’t have found a better place to call home so if you’re looking for a place like this . This is the place to call home even for the handicapped the have ramps easy access to get in and out of your apartment and the apartments are truly handicapped accessible on the inside of your home to the outside.They have handicapped showers and sinks in the ADA units to pull right up to if your in a wheelchair and spacious handicapped restrooms and I’m handicapped myself .maintenance is very friendly and quick to complete work orders. So if you are sick of your apartment not doing the things they are suppose to come on over and call this place your home I would be glad to have you as a neighbor"

"These brand new apartments are absolutely beautiful! They have a luxury feel with elevator access, resort style pool, electric car chargers, valet services, and just an overall modern feel. So many amenities and close to downtown! This is definitely a place that’s easy to make feel like home."
