The Union Apartments

"I’ve called this place home for 9 months now, and have nothing but positive things to say. Both leasing agents Kevin & Stephenie are always happy to answer any questions/ concerns I may have with a positive attitude and friendly demeanor (something you don’t see often these days) The manager Charelle has been exceptional as well since taking over. One example of this goes back a couple months ago when the filtered water in the gym was being serviced, she realized I was looking for water and offered me a bottled water instead of leaving me without. Kind gestures like this mean a lot, because it shows care and concern for your residents. Another example is a few weeks ago I was carrying a couple trash bags to the compacter when Kevin rode by on the golf cart and asked if he could assist me (It was perfect timing as I was running behind for work) he took both bags and drove to the compactor. At the time I was somewhat surprised that he took the time to do that, but now after several interactions I can see that he is just that kind of person that is willing to help and assist whenever he can for his residents. Stephenie is always smiling and happy. She genuinely seems to be happy at this property. If you have any questions, she is so willing to answer with clarity and detail. The maintenance team responds promptly if needed and are always courteous and professional. I’ve lived in other really nice apartment communities, but this right now is the best of all. Any and all apartment complexes will have issues come up, whether it be the trash compactor malfunctioning, or if in a gated community, the gate maybe getting hit and temporarily being left open while awaiting service. In these circumstances, I have noticed swift and appropriate response (with communication) from management every time. The secured mail package room ensures no packages are left outside your door, which can provide peace of mind while away from home. Fitness center is amazing, and accommodates beginners to more hardcore trainers like myself. I could literally go on and on about this place, and how happy I am to be here. If you happen to be looking for an apartment in this area, definitely strongly consider this place. I’m certainly glad I did!"

"Just visited The Union Apartments for the first time, and when I tell you I felt like I was walking right into my new home immediately, I am not kidding! I worked with Jade in the leasing office, as well as a few of the other woman as I contained to call and ask different questions. Every person there was extremely happy to help, and had a smile on their face. They were all outgoing, and thrilled to be showing me around the property. I couldn't have asked for a better experience, and half the reason I am choosing to move there is because of them. The other half is because WOW these apartments are gorgeous, and the rent is actually reasonable. The dog park is clean, the gym is huge, and the pool is like a resort! I can't wait to start living at The Union, and thank everyone there for the amazing experience. UPDATE: I just left the union after my short term lease and 8 months later I can still say I am just as amazed as I was the day I walked in. Everyone was always on top of everything, they keep the apartment halls and common areas extremely clean, the dog park is amazing! Even the move out process was easy. If I didn't have a house I was moving into I definitely would have renewed. I even got one of my friends to move to the union and she already is talking about renewing. Keep it up!"

"My boyfriend, me, and our 2 cats have lived at the union over a year now and we absolutely love it!! I truly don’t know why there are so many negative reviews. Kevin in the leasing office is sooo amazing- he truly is so good at what he does and is always available to help us at any time when any issues arise. The pool is beautiful and is always kept clean- the gym facility is great and there are hardly anyone ever in there which is nice as it’s very private. We just renewed our lease and I’m so happy to call this place home- and apartment searching for so long before choosing the union!!!"

"If you're considering moving to this apartment, it's important to be aware of some significant concerns. The management does not care about the residents; recently, my car, properly registered to my account, was towed just days before Christmas. Despite having valid tags, both I and another resident had to pay over $300 each to retrieve our vehicles. Additionally, the apartment enforces a strict no-guest policy due to the parking issues, making it challenging to host family or friends. The frequent turnover in management is alarming, with the property now under its fourth company in just a year and a half. Security is a major issue, as Building 300 was left unlocked for months, attracting homeless individuals and others. There have also been reported car break-ins, highlighting a lack of attention to residents' safety. Adding to the frustrations, there's a noticeable lack of action when it comes to residents not cleaning up after their pets, despite signs indicating potential fines which they have done nothing with. The presence of cameras, which should enhance security, is rendered ineffective, compounding concerns about the overall value of the high rent charged here. Lastly, the "new" package room is a mess, with packages haphazardly thrown on shelves without any organization. The accompanying app is consistently problematic, often failing to register received packages, thereby preventing access to the room or retrieval of items."

"The apartments have potential but there are so many issues it’s difficult where to start. The only reason I gave these apartments a 2 star review is because the residents are so nice here. That’s about the only thing that is enjoyable at this apartment complex. To dive into my situation, I had a mouse in my apartment in April. The property manager and I got into a very heated argument on how to handle the situation. Management was unhelpful. From every issue I have had with this apartment, the management were not willing to work with you or they are rude and condescending. The Union goes from manager to manager to the point the residents cannot keep up with who works at the front office and who does not. They do not communicate with the residents in emails about the new faces or hires within the front office. They barely even communicate with the residents on any issues via email. For instance, the call box was completely out in building 4. I was locked out of my building. I called and they stated the boxes were out. There was no communication with the residents of any issue. If you have an issue with the property manager, you cannot go to anyone higher up. They may give you corporate’s phone number, but you will not receive a phone call back. I tried to contact someone in corporate due to the issue I had with the property manager making me cry and apparently it was deemed as inappropriate behavior to actually try to contact her boss. Everything goes through the property manager and you are unable to contact anyone that can help you resolve an issue, especially if you have an issue with the property manager. With the mouse issue…. I had a mouse in my apartment due to unforeseen circumstances dealing with the trash. There were several mice on the property at the time. If you need orkin to come on their day off their schedule, you must pay a fee, even though you pay a monthly pest fee. Orkin will only come on Tuesday’s and you must request them to come spray your apartment. As of recently in October, I have seen a mouse running down the hallway of building 4 on the first floor. The trash is an ongoing issue as the residents do not understand how to put trash in the compactor. This leads to odor, rodents, and unsanitary areas. Attached are photos on the trash issues. The cleanliness and aesthetic of the grounds are below par. There is dog waste in multiple areas around the apartment, especially in the dog park. Maintenance and the front office are constantly reminded of resupplying dog waste bags and emptying out the dog waste bins. The building structures are not well kept. There are dents, scrapes and peeled paint on most of the hallways, doors, and common areas. They also gave out wine cards and use that as a selling point for residents — which the cards do not work and have never worked for most residents. Overall, I have not enjoyed living in this apartment complex besides the new friends I have met here. I highly recommend not moving in the complex due to issues with management, sanitation, and the general upkeep and maintenance of the apartment complex."
