"We moved to the area over the summer and have had some problems finding a new pediatrician. My son and I had an incredibly traumatic and abusive situation at Memphis children’s clinic, and hasn’t been back to a doctor since. He started having some ear troubles so I knew I needed to bite the bullet and find a new place. Going here was like a night and day experience to Memphis children’s. Probably everyone that lives in this area long enough knew to stay away from there, but we didn’t know. Anyways, from the moment we stepped in to Peds East I felt more comfortable. The nurse was so friendly, and genuine. She didn't make us feel like we had to get in and out as fast as possible. Dr. Behaim saw us and was so patient and kind to my son. I told her that he has ADHD and medical anxiety, and she immediately took the time to explain everything to him and make sure he felt comfortable while doing the exam. All he needs is someone to take that time and she did that. We left there and he said she was so careful with him and it made him feel safe. I don’t have words for the relief I feel to find a pediatrician that treats us like humans, and doesn’t see my son as a problem. Highly highly highly recommend!"

"The place is nice and clean. Receptionist is pleasant. However, the nurse that called us to the back, stated that my child couldn’t be seen unless I had his shot record as he is a new patient. That’s completely understandable, but I was informed differently over the phone due to his age (he’s up to date). Therefore, I relayed that information to her and she basically called me a liar, got a nasty little attitude, and slammed the door on her way out, all in front of my child too. Clearly there was miscommunication and she was having a bad day. Nevertheless, I don’t care how right you think you are, that’s not how you handle any situation at work or in front of children. Utterly unwarranted, unprofessional, and unreasonable. Extremely unfortunate as well, because Dr. Keith Owens was lovely. He did apologize for that employee’s unacceptable behavior. She’s the reason this isn’t a 5 star review."

"Dr. Brennan Lum has been my son’s pediatrician since he was 8 weeks old. I had been at our prior pediatrician for over a decade with my older kids, but I thought my youngest needed something/someone different because he was born with asthma-like issues. I cannot tell you how happy we have been with Dr. Lum. He is thorough, attentive, and very qualified- but isn’t too proud to reach out to his colleagues to ask for a second opinion when necessary. That is a trait I love in a doctor. I’m so grateful for Peds East and Dr Lum. We’ve been there almost 2 years now and so glad we switched!"

"We see Dr. Adams for our baby, and we love her! She is so sweet and caring, and you can tell she actually likes what she does. She is great with our daughter! The staff there is great as well. They are always warm and welcoming when we come to the office. The nurses on the nurse line are very knowledgeable and helpful as well. I can't say enough good things about this practice! I'm so glad we decided to go with them for the care of our daughter."
