"My first time at Ulta, and while the cashier was pleasant, the manager maya provided me with poor service and was rude and sarcastic when answering my questions. Other ulta locations I have gone to in san diego are where I will be making my purchases going forward, better service."

"I visited this location today and had a great experience. I got everything I was looking for and more. Naomi & Angela were amazing. They both guided me and helped me pick out my perfect match in Chanel Foundation & Natasha Denona concealer. I felt very comfortable with them, Naomi also helped me set a skin care routine & recommended great products that I am excited to try out. Thanks to them I feel so confident about my new products. They deserve promotions!!"

"I am trying not to be petty, but I am. I got my hair done yesterday, and I am not satisfied. I told the stylist I wanted my blonde ends to match my roots. My roots were black and grey. They would have known I am going to school with people half my age if they had talked to me. I am 52 and do not want to go to class and have the students think I am the teacher. What she did in 3 hours I could have done in one by buying a 20-dollar bottle of light brown hair dye! In 4 weeks, my roots will grow out light grey in the hair line! I did not tip this stylist, and I know I was wrong, but considering the cost of redoing everything that was done, I am looking at 200 + extra dollars. I should have left when we sat there in silence for 2 hours. If she had at least acknowledged my presence, I probably would have tipped her. She did not seem focused on her job; it was perfunctory and mechanical."

"I had a fantastic experience at Ulta while visiting their Happy Returns bar. The salespersons were incredibly attentive, asking me what I needed and if they could assist me in any way. One of them even went above and beyond to search for a perfume roller for me, although it turns out the manufacturer didn’t make it in the size I was looking for. I left the store with more purchases than I had planned, thanks to their excellent service. Highly recommended!"

"The store was clean and well-stocked however this is the first time I have been in an Ulta with poor customer service. I’m giving this particular location three stars because of the organized and clean appearance of the store and the kind associate who checked me out. However, no one stopped to help me and even passed by several times with no acknowledgment. The security guard at the front was more welcoming than the ladies on the sales floor. I was disappointed."
