"I didn't want to leave a bad review because I know time's are tough, but some of my friends saw how bad the back of my hair was so I knew I needed to leave this review. I went in for a 2 inch trim and layer haircut. The price was cheap, but I would never ever go back again. She does not know how to cut women's hair and she does not even cut the hair evenly. I have never cried over a haircut before, but this one nearly made me break down. My hair was especially destroyed in the back with no appropriate layers anywhere to be found. My hair got chopped from over a foot long to only shoulder length leftover. The shortest strands that I saw butchered in the back were 2 inches long. I had to ask my husband to fix my front as best he could to hide the bad haircut a bit.However, he is a diesel mechanic and wasn't comfortable with cutting my backhair. The only reason there are no photos of my hair is because of how bad it was and I didn't even want to show anyone the results of it. I had to go to a different hairstylist to have her save my hair and blend it. Even now it's still uneven, but it looks better because it's all blended together. Now I need to grow out my hair all over again for another 2 years."

"Military fades done right. Cuts did take about 20-30 minutes each but the end result was amazing. Go only if you are not in a rush. $9 for military cuts, can't beat that. Recommend Edit 7/17/20 Haircut prices have gone up to $14 from $9"
"Love this place. Very inexpensive and really great cuts. The stylists are friendly and usually don't have to wait. On the few occasions I did have to wait I didn't mind. The prices are way affordable as well. Had my hair cut today and my very thick beard shaved. Total came out to thirteen dollars. Hands down best barber shop in La Mesa."
"This place is the best. I not only have been coming here for 2+ years but also have been taking my son since he was 2 years old and Kim always does a quality job. Where else can you go for an amazing haircut by someone so friendly for less than $10? I moved pretty far from this location and still make my way out to La Mesa for the haircut alone:) thanks Kim!"
