"Not sure how this place is rated 4.5 stars. I had never been before and was in the area so I decided to give it a shot. All I wanted was a basic fill which ended up being 60 dollars. My nails turned out lumpy, different shapes, and air bubbles in the polish. They literally look so bad. Not only that, I was basically forced to tip as the woman asked me if I had money to tip I stated I only had a 50. She repeatedly asked me and then said she would split the money for me at the register. I ALWAYS tip and have no issue doing so if the service is deserving of it. But when you’re charging 60 dollars for a fill and expect a tip on top of it, your service better be on par with those prices. Maybe the lady I had was just incompetent because the nail designs on the page look great. Anyways I don’t recommend this place for acrylics AT ALL."

"Went to Del Mar Nails & Spa for the first time today and I wish I had known about this place earlier! I went to get my nails done prior to my wedding and Julie did such a beautiful job!! I cannot stop looking at my nails! She made my nails look gorgeous and took extra effort and care to make sure they came out extra special. Couldn’t be happier with the results; highly recommend! "Amazing experience. The best mani-pedi I have had in San Diego county. Will definitely drive down from Carlsbad to go here. Sophie is great with manicures and she was a perfectionist (in a good way). She would fix my nail design even without me having to tell her to do so."

"I've been going to Del Mar nails and spa for years and consistently have a great experience. If you go for the Del Mar pedicure, the massage is incredible. It's the longest massage with a pedicure I've ever had and they make you feel so comfortable. Wine or water is offered. You can almost always get your nails and toes done at the same time (unless they're super busy). I consistently get compliments on my nails. I travel a lot and when I go somewhere else out of town I always regret not waiting until I can come here! 10/10 recommend!"
