Glenbrook Apartments

"I’ve lived in these apartments for about 4 months now and never had any severe issues until a family moved in above me and the noise has been absolutely unbearable. I wake up to screaming or banging on the ceiling 6 out of 7 days a week. I had been in contact with management about the issue and had provided videos of the noise (I’m not talking about footsteps, the noise is loud enough to make the ceiling shake) and was told by Heather and April that it was normal apartment noise. It is very frustrating to pay $2000/month for an apartment that you can’t even enjoy being in."

"7/20/23- Moved in yesterday, first impressions will update as time goes on. Been a smooth process from the beginning. Helpful staff. Apartment was clean, everything works. I don’t really hear any neighbors around me besides typical apartment noise. I’m 3rd floor on a corner so I’m sure that’s working in my favor. It’s 9:00 pm and I see 2 parking spots available near my building and probably another 4-5 a little bit further. There are plenty reserved spots available for purchase near my building if you don’t want to search for a spot just pay the monthly fee. It’s inconvenient for guest to park out front but I rather have that then not be able to find a spot. Grounds are well kept and clean, grass is mowed, no trash in the parking lot. Overall pretty good so far!"

"If you are moving to this apartment, then I would highly recommend not to come this apartment if you have kids. 1. Management will come to argue with you if you are under 14 age and going gym. I have video with management stopping us to enter the gym. They say kids are not allowed, whereas leasing documents say that kids can come with parents. Despite they argue with parents. Email me I can share the video as well. 2.They will charge you 1000+ for any reasons. They will basically charge whatever you do best. They charged approx 900 to us when we moved. 3. The parking is always full. You have to park either outside the apartment at leasing office or roam around to search for parking and if you are lucky after 8 pm then you may get parking after 3-4 building away. 4. Car theft case and management will not help for anything, they don't put CCTVs inside the apartment area or parking. 5. It is said as gated community but 60% of time the gates are always open or under repair for months. 6.They will keep you sending letters that your downstairs are getting noise and will keep you calling. I am sorry to put this review but wanted to post for others to get lessons from me and save yourself from these managements and apartment."

"Don’t live here. Listen, you’re gonna be tempted because the location is great and the apartments look nice at first glance but just trust me. Here’s a list. 1- I paid to live in a gated community but the gates worked maybe half the time. 2- They towed my car. I had just bought the car less than a week ago and they towed it because I had not updated the information with their office… which was completely closed due to COVID (as were the amenities for months after everything else had reopened). Also apparently now they’ve just decided to not open the office on Sundays. 3- My hot water went out 3x within 6 weeks. They have an emergency maintenance worker that lives over an hour away. The last time it happened, I called the emergency line multiple times and was told someone was on their way but it was 10 hours before anyone showed up. 4- My cat sitter texted me while I was on vacation telling me I had a cockroach problem. I immediately called them and was told I would have to move everything out of all my cabinets, put them on a bed, cover it with a towel, remove my pet, and pay $250 for them to come treat it. I refused saying that my apartment was clean and there was no way I was at fault for this. I had to force them to investigate the cause and surprise, it was a crack in the wall behind my fridge. 5- The cockroaches probably came from the dumpster that is not emptied anywhere near often enough, despite them starting to charge more for trash based on how many people lived in your apartment. I’ll share a picture of the trash situation. 6- I moved out on January 8th. I received my walk through statement dated from January 17th stating all the nitpick things they were charging me for and it showed that I owed them $60ish dollars. Every apartment does this so I was happy to just pay it and move on. 3 weeks later they tell me they have added $220 because they’ve suddenly decided that they need to replace the carpet. They told me that it was brand new right before I moved in so it shouldn’t need to be changed again already (I lived there for almost 3 years. I do have a cat which I paid a couple hundred dollars for his deposit and he never peed anywhere but his litter box). I told them that I have no idea what happened in that apartment in the 3 weeks between me moving out and them deciding to try and charge me more money. This is still an ongoing fight. The staff is rude and incompetent. Through all of these issues, I remained respectful to them. But this latest antic was my last straw. The location is good but not worth the issues with the actual apartment and the staff."

"Let's just start by saying these apartments are not only build very cheap and you can hear everything that goes on above and under you . I started off in a 2 bed room apartment and notice a 3 bed room came available right across the hall from me . So I was able to move into the 3 bed room. I never complain that the carpets weren't replaced or the walls was never repainted just because I was happy to be able to move across the hall, with out moving completely out of that breeze way. A year later it bought a house . When I moved out I clean the apartment like no one lived there . Just to be hit 2 months later with a $400 dollar carpet replacement. When they never replaced before I ever moved in. Let just say these people are gonna take you for some money when you leave . They respond to my email with bogus answers and sent me to collections . Do your research before moving into this place. Parking is horrible at this place you can't even have a visitor without making them walk to your apartment. Management is rude!I had a friend tell me not to move here that she had a lot of issues and now I wish I would have listen."
