Vanderbilt Health Walk-In Clinic Melrose 2608 8th Avenue South, Nashville, TN 37204

"My daughter was seen here on 1/23/24. After the provider said she would give me a excused absence for my child in my health at Vanderbilt it was clearly not there, so on 1/24/24 I returned to get an excuse note for my child after being seen on day before, the front desk staff stated he could not give my child an excuse note because it was yesterday I responded and stated the provider told myself she would send the not to my health and it’s not there, the front desk staff stated then he could then print one BUT it would be excuse for today, I responded she was seen on yesterday so that would not be the truth, he say there on his phone for about 10 minutes then got up and got a nurse the nurse comes front and stated she was unsure if I could get a excuse note for my daughter, I asked why she couldn’t give me an answer as well, the nurse returned to the back of the clinic for about 20 minutes as I stand at the front desk and the front desk rep on his cell phone so now my daughter has a day marking of unexcused absence because of Vanderbilt Walkin clinic 8th ave south and will not return this is unacceptable"

"Patient Beware - This clinic often staffs with Emergency Room doctors, does not disclose that and as a result of it cost me $176 as the insurance covers ER doctors differently. I made an appointment for a non-emergency and was charged my deductible of $35 when I checked in. I was first billed over $300 because I was seen by an Emergency Room doctor. The original visit was charged as 45 minutes. I was there under 20 minutes. After over an hour on the phone with the run around they reduced the bill the 30 minutes and $176. LESSON LEARNED = STAY AWAY"

"The most expensive Urgent Care Visit I have experienced. Billed $318 of which my insurance covered $140 dollars leaving me 178 out of pocket. $187 is the average for an urgent care visit in Nashville without insurance. Contacted billing to see if any discounts were available and they did not offer any help. I had a sinus infection and the only thing I received was a diagnosis and told to wait another week. I was also told that Vanderbilt Health will not discuss prices with patients until after insurance has been approved/denied. This is after care has already been administered. They flat out milk the system and give 0 Fs about patients. SICKENING"

"I’m very disappointed in the service my daughter received during a visit to the Melrose walk-in clinic. Dr. Patel needs immediate training for interaction with patients and especially college students. My child is away from home and I sent her to this clinic because I felt it would be safe & she would be treated with care. Instead she was met with unwarranted rudeness, unkindness and non attentiveness! My daughter left in tears and no answers, after spending her own money for the copay. I was on the phone at the end of the visit and noticed Dr. Patel didn’t give her any recommendations for treatments. So I called the office and was told that a prescription had been called in. This prescription was not explained to my daughter during this visit. Please note I will not recommend Vanderbilt services ever again and will also let my employer know of this treatment for insurance purposes. In addition, I will contact the patient care department and will request my daughter be reimbursed and sent an apology!"

"10/10 experience with this office. Caroline was my doctor that I saw and she was able to address all my concerns with the head cold I was developing. Way too often do I visit an urgent care in downtown Nash, spend a lot of money to be seen and hope to leave with clarity and helpful ways to recovery quickly - but it never is a reality. However, this clinic was able to get me a prescription yesterday that has me feeling 10x better today and using medication I already had in my cabinet to ease the symptoms in the meantime. Highly recommend"
