"My experience with the front staff and dentists have been good up until today. I was scheduled for a "consult" with the periodontist and was scheduled to come in at 10a. I arrived on time and waited around 25 minutes to see someone, while I heard staff having a meeting elsewhere in the clinic. No other patients were in clinic. At the end of 25 mins, I was given consent forms for the procedure I was scheduled to have (next week), they took my blood pressure, and then the appointment was over. I did not get to see the periodontist or discuss the upcoming procedure with anyone. Instead, I waited 20 minutes to sign 2 forms. I don't know why I was asked to come in, why I waited, and why this could not have been done online. At the end of the appointment, I was asked if I had a flexible schedule and if I could come back in if I wanted to speak with the doc. I said no, doc needs to call me. Such a waste of my time. Front staff need to be briefed on what these "consults" actually are because I had called last week to clarify what the appointment was for. Turns out for something I could have done over the phone or online. I'll continue to go back for care but I just wanted to highlight poor office/patient practices that they could change."
