"The doctor is horrible. Do not go there. You have plenty of other choices around Lakewood and Long Beach for dentists. I went there for regular checkup and cleaning with Cigna HMO. The doctor (Samaan) informed me that I need to take care of one abrasion (from brushing too harsh) and deep cleaning. Deep cleaning was over $400 and the abrasion would cost $95 out of pocket. I asked him high out-of-pocket price and requested just simple cleaning that would cost me nothing. He refused to give me regular cleaning covered by the insurance. He told me I should switch to PPO and do the things he recommended. But I had to wait 10 months to switch HMO to PPO. I asked if the deep cleaning and abrasion can wait that long. He said yes, it is not urgent. So I pleaded that I just want simple cleaning for the moment. He refused. He is all about money, which I understand, but refusing simple cleaning for a patient is not acceptable and unethical."
