"Called in JANUARY for an appointment to become a new patient. The earliest they could see me was end of MARCH. I received a call TWO WEEKS before my appointment to tell me they scheduled me with a provider who is moving to the Nashville location. I can see someone at the clinic in pleasant view. I said no i needed a provider in Clarksville. She tells me the only other provider I can see is booked until SEPTEMBER! We are in MARCH. She honestly wasn’t that nice about it either and seemed annoyed at her job."
"Susie (sorry if I spelled that wrong) at the front desk was so sweet from the moment I walked in. She gave me a snack and apple juice when I felt light headed after blood work. It really means a lot to know there are still compassionate health care workers out there. It really meant a lot when you’re going through it with your health thank you Susie :)"
"1. Appointments are booked months out. If you end up in the hospital out of state and need ro be seen to get documentation for your job in order to be off to get follow up care, 3 weeks is the best they can do after repeated calls. Have a sore throat, virus or other health crisis? No day or two later visits ever available in person or online. Weeks. Always. If that. 2. Want to book a physical or have a serious health concern you'd like to discuss? Months, not one, is what it will take. It's about numbers, not care. They are in denial about it if you bring it up. Act like your schedule is the issue. Nope. It's not. Always willing to change it if that's what it would take. Call and try to get in sooner. Always told impossible,. even if urgent. They'll tell you to go to their version of urgent care at Walgreens. 3. In doing so, you end up going to other doctors further from home out of desperation and urgent care clinics, which makes it impossible to establish a true plan of care, yet you keep having hope it will improve as you'd like to have a primary caregiver close to home. Vicious cycle and won't get better until they stop taking new patients when they can't handle properly caring for the ones they have. 4. When you resort to writing messages, they are often ignored for a period. Refill requests dismissed for basic medication you've taken for years. No explanation. No apologies. Just more of your time wasted writing in again or calling to get cleared up. They should have to pay patients back for the time, energy and stress they cause them. Run, don't walk away from this location and most other Vanderbilt affiliated offices. It's about money, not your health and well being. And before you respond asking if I've spoken to your patient relations team, the answer is yes. I've spoken to them in the past. Useless and more time wasted. How about having your team correct the issues brought to them instead of ignoring them due to greed."
"Don’t waste your time. If THEY have to cancel your appointment that has been scheduled for weeks... they show zero urgency to get you back on the schedule. Over a month out is when we were able to get rescheduled for... You’ll probably run into some “policy” bs at that appointment anyways. You’re better off going to any of the Urgent Team Clinics... you’ll get right in and also won’t be forced to get a Covid test if your symptoms are “too similar”. Especially if you work in a field where you get tested and screened regularly and really KNOW it’s a sinus infection... or whatever it is you may be going through that would require you to go to a PCP. Fast and great at Urgent Team and really felt more like a PCP than Vanderbilt Family Health. Totally understand policies are a thing but this situation wouldn’t be as frustrating if we didn’t have to wait over a month from our originally scheduled appointment."
