"This place is a disgrace!!! My son was violently attacked and beaten beyond recognition by another patient while there for short-term treatment! The management and staff members acted like this was routine!! We got absolutely no help from the Shelby County DA's Office either when wanting to press charges against the lunatic that attacked my son!!! The best place for this business is out of business!!"

"This place needs to be closed all the way down the employees need to know that everybody has to get old unless GOD takes you before you get old! My uncle was getting treated at Crestwyn Behavioral Health Hospital and we were told he fell. From this so called fall he lost his teeth, has a broken nose, knots on both sides of his head, bruises on his body. This is what we can see! Internal damage also. Please DO NOT take your family to this place nor let NO ONE take them to this place!"

"If I could give zero stars I would. My uncle was admitted into Crestwyn. During his time there the family was never allowed to speak to him nor see him, every time the family called to check on my uncle he was chemically sedated. After being in Crestwyn for a couple of days a staff member called and informed a family member that my uncle was being rushed to the hospital because his heart rate was dropping. After my uncle was admitted to the ICU in the hospital only then did the family see what someone at Crestwyn had done to him. My uncle had been hit in the mouth all his teeth are missing, his head and body are full of bruises, his kidneys and liver are failing, he has lost 20 to 30 pounds and was nonresponsive upon his arrival to the hospital the staff at Crestwyn refuse to give us answers or return his clothes and glasses. My uncle is still in the hospital fighting for his life whatever you do. ..do not trust this unethical place with your loved one"

"Pros: The group therapy sessions were extremely helpful to me, especially activity therapy. The food was great for a hospital. There were a few very kind techs and nurses that made my stay easier. I liked Dr. V and was thankful for her listening ear. I was able to stay in a safe place during a dark time and be monitored while taking new medication. I was with a great group of people on the south side. Connecting with the other patients helped me more than anything during my 9 days here. Cons: Dirty. The custodians do not clean much at all. Depending on which techs and nurses were there, you had to basically beg for necessities like soap, toiletries, water, and going to the bathroom. Some made it seem like you were inconveniencing them which made me feel bad. Also did not know I was supposed to be meeting with a therapist one on one during my time here. I only met one on one with a therapist when it was time to sign discharge paperwork. I was cold turkey off my medication when I first got there for almost 3 days and did not meet with the doctor for 6 days. I understand it was the holidays, but I do feel it is important for people in crisis to get help ASAP."

"I would like to express, that if you have a loved one, going through mental stress - do not take them to this place. It’s off Winchester and ‘newer’ than other places. But I’m letting you know. If you’re trying to help someone or yourself, do not go here. Obviously, you don’t want to go to the downtown Memphis area but there are other places in Memphis that do a MUCH better job AKA CARE much more. Do not go to this place. Heed my word. They are thieves, in the literal sense. Yes, I am accusing staff or employees of literally stealing money and lying to family members, in addition to keeping family members from seeing their loved ones while in treatment. The janitor, once again, not kidding, is the best person on the pay roll at crestwyn. I am middle class with good insurance. Once the insurance $$ runs out - “you are healed”. No joke. Don’t send someone you love to this place. Also, to be specific- the office staff after 9pm are the ones that , to my own and my sister’s knowledge, literally steal cash , lie, and abuse patients even more that the trauma they are currently experiencing. Do not go here. That is all. ❤️"
