"They google your symptoms, say they don’t know what the problem is, then prescribe you medication when they don’t even know what it is! How do you prescribe medication when you don’t know what you’re treating?? Better off going to another hospital or staying home and doing old school remedies or just dying, you probably will anyways if you do go to Baptist since their clueless."
"I've thought about my experience all night. I took my mother to this hospital yesterday at 11:00 am, and they were busy which was understandable. This is cold and flu season and things happen, so having a wait was okay. We were checked in to the E.R., my mother's blood was taken at a little after 11 am. She was then called back to take a chest x-ray in the hall of the E.R., and told to wait to be called. At about 4:00 p.m. the waiting room was cleared of all the people that came in before us, and even some of the people that came in after us. So I waited until about 4;30 pm to ask if we were still in line to be seen, and I was told by the person registering the patients that we we're waiting on a bed, and she didn't know how long that would take "stating that she has a cough and because of her age she needed a bed. So I said okay, and waited another hour as we watched all the people we came in with leave as well as people that came in after us. At about 5:00 pm I asked again at this point we had been waiting 5 hours. So I asked could she just be seen behind a curtain, she told that she would call Sharon I think that was her name to ask, and she would get back with me. Another hour went by so I asked again even apologizing for asking she told me that she would call Steve the Head Nurse, but he never came Finally at 6:32 pm he we're taken to the back and put in a room. You could hear the people from the intake room talking about me complaining for having to wait 6 hours while other people were being seen, home. The head nurse, and other passed more than 15 times, not even a question. Have you been seen? Has anyone greeted you, nothing. At about 8 pm. I went to the nurses station to ask if she was going to be seen or even greeted. The nurse asked asked her to see if she was assigned a doctor and at 8 pm she hadn't been asked to anyone. We waited 9 hours within ten minutes the doctor came in told her the results that were taken at 11 that morning gave a bag of fluids, and a potassium pill. It took 9 hours for that. Two hours later we were discharged. The part that got me was we were the last people out, my car was what looked to be the only patient car in the parking lot. Talk about neglect experience I passed 2 hospitals to come to this place because I trusted that they would take care of my mom. If you want your family mistreated then go there. They left a woman in pain, and tears sitting in a wheel chair for hours. She was in pain because she fell trying to open the door for the paramedics. She could see and was told by a nurse don't grab her. They absolutely showed how much they care, and if you ask questions how you can be left unattended because they can. Fast forward to this morning I called to make someone aware of how we were treated, and still no help. These hospitals are impossible. I have a deep respect for healthcare workers some of them make it their business to treat people with respect and kindness. People don't wake up and say I want to go to the hospital. My mom went to the doctor 2 times and the hospital 3 times before they found a UTI that turned into sepsis. It messed with her memory so bad that she forgot that her mother died 8 years ago. She is struggling to walk again and I kept telling people something was wrong. It took one doctor to care after I refused to take no for an answer, he found the UTI but by then she had sepsis. This had been going on since Oct. 11, 2023, they found the problem Nov. 15, 2023. One month and four days later. My mother almost died yet I still had faith in the healthcare system. Mindy Harding in the ER made me want to change my 1 star ⭐️ to 5 ⭐️ stars. She is simply amazing. I approached her about my concerns and within minutes the doctor Enrique was at the door. We waited almost 9 hours but she made it a better experience because you could see she cared. I can’t say that for everyone else but Dr. Enrique cared for my mom and Mindy Harding is the reason why we shouldn’t lose faith in good people. Thank you Mindy."
"I have had multiple ER experiences with different family members and all were 100%!! When everyone we came in contact with was extremely kind and understanding, I was able to overlook the one that possibly was having a bad night."
"With the exception of the MD, this was undoubtedly the worst ER staff I have ever encountered. The nurses were rude and sullen; they clearly did not want to be there. They exhibited no compassion or even interest in my condition. Had the ER been busy I could understand the lack of attentiveness but that was obviously not the case given that they had plenty of time to stand around the nurses station talking and laughing. The lack of professionalism was astounding."
"Great experience. ED wait time was less than 45 mins. Staff was kind, quick, and explained what was going on. Dr. Lawana pin-pointed the exact cause of my grandmother's pain and treated it with nonconventional ways. She was excellent in care. Dr. Lawana was training a resident that day and they both were great. Thank you for finding the "root" (sciatic nerve joke) to our problem."
