"Typical chinese food menu with a small ish dim sum selection. We just got dim sum for dinner. All pretty good. Beer and wine menu available. Plenty of seats. No wait on a busy Saturday. Would rec the classics - siu mai, XLB, dhrimo dumplings. west lake beef soup. Mid: pan fried tofu shrimp wrap. 紅油抄手 wonton in chili oil."

"Our experience at Begoni Bistro was a mix of hits and misses. After a brief 15-minute wait, we were seated at the bar, which turned out to be a cool and unique experience while dining for dim sum. We ordered a variety of dim sum dishes, and while none were bad, most failed to leave a lasting impression. The Steamed Shrimp Dumpling and Deep Fried Pork & Shrimp Tofu Skin Roll were decent but didn't stand out. The Steamed Chicken Feet and Spicy Steamed Pork & Shrimp Siu Mai had acceptable flavors but lacked the exceptional taste that sets apart great dim sum. The Beef Short Ribs with Black Pepper Sauce and Deep Fried Wonton were average, meeting expectations but not exceeding them. One dish that did manage to shine was the Golden Durian Crisp. The deep-fried crispy puff filled with sweet durian had a delightful fragrance and a well-balanced sweetness. It was the highlight of our meal and left us wanting more."

"Second time at Begoni for me and can with confidence say that this is among the best Chinese food experiences I’ve had in the Bay Area. Wonderful dim-sun experience with a variety of dumplings (highly recommend the chicken and shrimp dumplings as well as the shrimp noodle roll for sea food lovers) as well as wook-style dishes like the Singaporean noodles. Loved it, and recommend pairing all the yummy food with some jasmine tea for an even superior experience. Perfect for larger groups if you book in advance, usually not too busy but a great atmosphere!"

"Took my family here for lunch. All the food items we ordered here we excellent! My whole loved it. The Peking duck was the best. Will definitely come back again. You can go wrong with this place. We noticed restaurants near by were fairly empty with no waiting line. This one was crowded and we had to wait 30 minutes. Well worth the wait!"

"First time in Chinatown in SF and got recommended to come to this restaurant from a parking lot valet. The restaurant was pretty empty when we walked in but the service was pretty average. Regular/typical Chinese restaurant that you would walk into. We ordered the XLB, won ton soup, beef chow mein, and spicy dumplings. I would rate all of the food an 7/10 but the won ton is 9/10. Nothing too special about the food but it definitely cures the craving for Chinese food."
