He also gave us advice, which ultimately meant he would be losing business, he was upfront with us in saying that that the work we were asking for wasn't worth it because the engine was bad. Luckily, we were able to get our money back for the car we had just purchased and we are continuing to search for the right car. When we do find it we will be taking it here for John to look at =)"

"Very good honest guy. I showed him what my Check-Engine codes were, and he could tell right away it was a minor valve/gasket thing, because he works with Toyotas so much. He didn't pretend he had to run a diagnostic test just to charge me. While he was direct about how much the repair would cost, he also told me I could just drive it for now and didn't need to waste time or money with minor repairs. That's the kind of direct info I needed, and I'll be sure to keep him in mind if and when I cough up the money for the major repair."
