"Lakeside Lounge is a great little bar that has been in Oakland for decades! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming! The people are friendly and bartenders are fantastic! I am Piedpiperkj, and I perform at the Lakeside every third Wednesday of the month! The musicians with whom I work, ar Lorenzo Hawkins and Ranzel Merritt. There is also Live blues band every Sunday night, and it is always LIT! There are activities happening Wednesday thru Sunday, something for everyone!"

"I went for the first time and it's truly a locals spot. The Bartender was welcoming and greeted me as i walked in. The bar seemed fully stocked and for the Wednesday night Steppers set, there were some Steppers in there. Casual to comfortable dancing attire was acceptable. The cocktails were reasonably priced. It appeared to be a Black-Owned business and I was glad to see people patronizing this establishment."
