"I had a fantastic dining experience at Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ in Oakland with a group of friends. The group meal for six was a great choice, offering high-quality meats and a delightful surprise with s'mores at the end. The Japanese BBQ grills added authenticity to the experience, and I particularly enjoyed the beef sukiyaki bibimbap, a dish I'll definitely order again. The inclusion of Korean tofu soup, though unexpected, turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The salad and Gyu nigiri were also awesome. While the restaurant can get busy, and getting the servers' attention may be a challenge at times, their kindness and accommodation made up for it. The staff was more than willing to address our questions and requests. Despite the lack of extravagance in the ambiance, the focus on authentic Japanese BBQ grills truly set Gyu-Kaku apart. Highly recommend for a memorable dining experience!"

"If you thought KBBQ was fun, you have to try Japanese BBQ! Gyu-Kaku's menu is HUGE! You have the options to do AYCE, order a la carte, or get pre-set Combos based on how many people you have. You'll enjoy whichever menu you choose because the meats are high quality and the sauces are crack, so you're guaranteed a great meal. Our server, Kaylin was AMAZING!! "If you guys need a fun spot to take your kids, friends, family, coworkers, or even for date night, then gyukakuoakland got you. Our waiter Josh gave us a full explanation of the menu and tips on cooking the food bc it was our first time at a Japanese BBQ restaurant. We were so excited! At @gyukakujbbq, you can order à la carte or choose the all-you-can-eat options. You can also choose their amazing set-course meals for 2, 3, or 6 people. We opted for the value course for 2 people, and a kids meal for my 6-year niece that was only $6.99 plus $1.50 for her s’more. The food was delicious, great selections of appetizers, and the meat quality was excellent. Don’t forget to order the s’more! My niece had so much FUN cooking her food, especially her s’more that she wanted to come back the next day."

"Food is nice. The restaurant is clean and service is good. Not too busy on Saturday afternoon. We had meat lover course. The meat quality is as good as expected and it’s worth to upgrade to Prime Kalbi Short Rib! Overall experience is great but not really enough in terms of quality for two men."
