"They do waffles very well, but not everything on menu is equal. Blueberry waffles were delicious. French toast breakfast sandwich was not, surprisingly bland. Breakfast potatoes are great though, and my gf thoroughly enjoyed her benny n' hash (substituted avocado since she's veg) I would come back w group to try more waffly and French toasty sweet things to share! Also the service could have been better, did not get water, and server was not the most attentive."
"What a waffle! Had the spicy chicken waffle and an Americano. Very tasty, the coleslaw was fresh and really good. Chicken very well fried, still soft and juicy. Great price for the value."
"I used to live in the neighborhood and Bru’s was always my go-to spot for my weekend brunch outing. Having moved away to the East side of town I don’t get here as much - but when I do, I’m never disappointed. My favorite thing in the menu is their waffle (the Nashville hot chicken and waffle is enough for 2 to share). Another good dish is their truffle oil eggs avocado toast. And you can never go wrong with their cheesy stuffed hash browns! "Traditional cafe vibes with unique, well-executed eats. The omelet was light and fluffy despite being prepared with egg whites - a definite plus! The house basil was thick and herbaceous presenting a perfect compliment. On the other hand the red velvet waffle was perfect for a sweet start to the morning. The waffle could’ve been a bit crispier however the red velvet flavor was spot on. That homemade cream cheese frosting made it feel acceptable to enjoy cake for breakfast. The service was swift and attentive. Again, vibes aren’t unique but the food is. The menu unsurprisingly is packed with waffle variations, but they do much more than that. Highly recommended for a breakfast that offers diverse, delicious selections to start the day!"
