"Definitely the best fish and chips I've had in the states so far. They do do a proper pint and it's not too ridiculously priced as some bars in California are. Very American vibe, but still enjoyed my pint and my meal."

"As an English man reviewing a place claiming to be a British pub... I don't see it. The only thing remotely british about it was their Guinness, which tasted ridiculously watered down. The music was too loud. I was nearly rejected at the door because my ID is from the UK, and we don't have a barcode on our IDs. The drinks are way more expensive than I was expecting. I had a rum and coke which, and I can't believe I'm saying this, was too strong. It was mostly rum because there was so much ice that the coke barely had space. It's not a casual pub, and my rating is harsh because they claim to be a British pub. As a bar, personally I wouldn't return, but it does its job. Massive projector screen to watch sports. A good amount of people come in the later part of the night. It's okay, as a bar."

"Warm and friendly, laid-back atmosphere with darts, billiards etc on one side of the bar and a lounge / sports-watching area on the other. Guinness on tap, and the food was great, but, as they caution on the menu, it took about 30 mins to arrive after ordering because they cook everything fresh. We had the sausage rolls and scotch egg first, then two meat pies (Shepherds and Steak & Mushroom). Tasty, and good sized portions too. Curious to try their fish & chips on our next visit."

"First time here. Ordered two different meat pie options. One plate was stone cold within , the other was warm at best. The server stated that she would let ‘him’ know. Back came an offer for a ‘redo’. We declined as we had already waited the stated 20 to 30 minutes on the menu. We simply shared the one plate that was mostly warm. No further follow up from either of the two staff members. It was at the point of signaling to pay that the bartender indicated that he had removed the charges for the cold platter. It was only at that moment that an apology was offered. Paid bill snd went on our way. Summary, mistakes happen . Nobody here seemed to think that anything was wrong. That’s too bad."

"1st time here. We ordered to share. Lamb shank, mash, and peas (daily special) and 2 piece fish and chips (off the menu). Exceptionally fresh Icelandic cod, fried nicely, and stayed crunchy even after adding malt vinegar. Lamb shank perfectly cooked, it fell off the bone. Served with homemade mashed potatoes and brown sauce, quite tasty. Peas garden fresh, firm, not mushy. Full bar. Chips not very British, more like regular American fries. The server was very nice, but she forgot about us. Was hoping for a trifle, but no desserts available except ice cream: strawberry, and 2 odd flavors. Good food. We'll be back."
