"Food is always great bit the service sucked... and just seems to get worse. Seems like the help would rather hang out in the back instead of checking on the customers. It was on a taco Tuesday. Was not even that busy. The staff will just walk by every table and not ask if you need anything. You can have an empty cup at the end of the table and they will walk by 6 time and then you will have to flag them down to get them to pay attention."

"This was my first visit to Bud's. The restaurant itself is on the small & quaint side. It was dimly lit with lots of dark wood....kinda western style. They have a nice bar for those inclined to partake of spirits. The facility itself was clean and orderly with nice large booths for comfortable seating. The menu isn't ridiculously large with a wide range of offerings. The Chicken Fried Steak is only available for breakfast, so that was terribly disappointing, as I'm addicted to CFS. The food was well prepared and tasted reasonably well, albeit nothing to write home about. The pricing imo, is on the high side, but not unreasonably so. All in all though, if you're in the area and want a quick bite, check them out."

"Friday around lunch a large group of probably 25+ people descended on Bud's without warning following a funeral service nearby. I was totally impressed with the fantastic service we received despite the chaos we imposed. The food came out quickly all things considered and everyone was very happy with their orders. My chicken cobb salad was delicious and everything was fresh. The grilled chicken was very tasty. Burgers and sandwiches were also very well received. Anything deep fried has a legitimate fair style beer batter. They also have a decent selection of beers on tap. We never had to ask for refills of anything and the servers were totally on top of it. I would definitely come again."

"Buds makes some of the best pasta dishes in Dixon. They don’t disappoint. I also like how they line the to-go tray with foil."

"Buds Pub and Grill is in the heart of downtown Dixon on the corner of 1st St & A St. Great location in a charming little town. Outside tables in the shade on north side of building is where my dog LuLu and I sat on a warm June Friday. Plus 1 ⭐️ for being dog friendly. All the inside booths were full along with three outside tables keeping staff busy so that explains why we sat for ten minutes before anyone approached us. French Dip reviews ranged from good to fantastic so that’s what I ordered. It arrived quickly (10-minutes). No “set up” so I had to ask for napkins. No cutlery so I stabbed French fries with toothpick that was inserted into my sandwich. Ice tea hit the spot but no refill until I went inside and requested. Sandwich OK but a letdown based on reviews I’d read while waiting for service. I will come back sometime and try the steak sandwich which also has rave reviews. We’ll see."
