"My favorite restaurant in the East Bay. Food always delicious. Most recently had the filet mignon, it did not disappoint. If you’ve only seen the portions without tasting the food, one may be inclined to question the pricing of some dishes. I assure, you cannot put a price on this quality of food. I had a filet mignon in sf for $65, it was not good. At J&M this January theirs was $52, smaller portion but with creamed potatoes and sprouts. Impeccable. I got medium rare. The drinks are always perfect. I ordered something I didn’t enjoy, however I traded my drink with my mother who is a bartender. She agreed it was made perfectly, just wasn’t my taste. The drink she ordered was awesome, some orange tequila/custard nonsense wouldn’tve imagined existed. But it was delicious, I had 2. Staff are always great, I look forward to the day they remember my name its been a few times lol."

"Juanita & Maude delivered an unforgettable dining experience for my boyfriend's birthday! The spicy tuna tartare was a burst of flavors, and the house-made radiatore pasta was rich and comforting. But the real star was the chili-glazed crispy smoked spareribs & rice – mouthwatering and perfectly cooked. The ambiance was cozy, and the service impeccable. A celebration to remember! Highly recommended!"

"Went there for a birthday dinner. The outside area is setup very well for dining, the staff courteous and considerate. Felt very safe dining out because of their actions. Now onto the food - wow! The fried chicken was very tasty with a great seasoned batter but the steak was cooked amazingly well. Do not miss the churros on the dessert menu and they have a good selection of specialized beers so make sure to try as well."
