"This is my go-to spot in the Mission Bernal neighborhood (except for chorizo tacos, I go to The City Taqueria #2 next door). You can't really beat the handmade corn tortillas and the friendly service. Almost everything I've tried is delicious and my favorites are the carnitas taco and the puerco en mole verde plate. Pro tip: if you're in the area and cooking Mexican food, get their tortillas to go to take your meal to another level."

"I had been so excited to try this restaurant, we had heard such great things about it. However, we were very disappointed. First, coming in the waiter seemed to be in a grumpy mood, didn’t look like he wanted to be there. We came in right as they had opened and were maybe the only third set of customers there. We ordered coffee, the cafe de olla. It is the worst cafe de olla I have had in my life. Typically, in my experience a good cafe de olla doesn’t need anything added to taste good. This one tasted horrible, almost burnt and old, we decided to add creamer and sugar but no amount would make it taste better. For our dishes we ordered the chilaquiles verdes and the huevos divorciados. They charged 5 extra dollars to add chicken to the chilaquiles, that would’ve been fine had it not been a huge pile of just very cold and dry shredded chicken, that had some odd black bits of stuff in it. The sauce in the chilaquiles was not very tasty, and neither was the rice. I also keep seeing so many restaurant trying to add sour cream to their dishes, it’s unnecessary, thankfully it was placed on the side. The only good tasting thing in this dish was probably the beans. It was overall very disappointing."

"Chili relleno, tacos dorados, pork rib with green sauce and pozole. Got an order of nopales with chips. Sauce on all the entrees tasted good. The pozole also tasted fine. Disappointed by the chili relleno inside. The cheese inside were chunks that weren't melted. I wasn't sure if maybe that's how they make it here?"
