"I went to treat myself to a great dinner while I was in Los Angeles and the chart house didn't disappoint. The martini, steak and lobster tails were amazing. One of my favorite restaurants in Los Angeles, I would definitely come back."

"I arrived at 5pm, almost an hour and fifteen minutes before my scheduled reservation. Having come early the restaurant was nearly empty. To my surprise I was given one of the best tables in the whole place - one that looked over the beautiful beach and the Pacific Ocean. My server explained the menu in detail as he drifted away to prepare my martini, with blue cheese olives, not too dirty. It seemed as if it was a perfect stat to a perfect dinner in a perfect table. My New England clam chowder arrived piping hot. I've had many, many clam chowders in my life and this one was incredibly savory and full of bits of delicious clam. My macadamia crusted mahi mahi arrived adorned with a chutney of tropical fruit that perfectly complimented the fish. The only complaint I had was the wine choices in their cab selection. They all seemed very main line, nothing out of the ordinary or spectacular, which was a little of a disappointment for someone that likes red cabs like I do. Preferring to drink my dessert I ordered a Sambuca. It arrived in the perfect snifter (Brandy) glass with the traditional 3 coffee beans -thank you for not skimping on that. The 3 beans are so important for those of us that drink Sambuca as a ritual. Overall, the meal was excellent, the view was incredible, and the experience was something I would love to do again -and I will next time I'm in town. Thank you, Chart House, for a memorable meal and thank the GM for coming over during my dinner to make sure I was happy. You all did a great job."

"The place was beautiful and the view was amazing. I was disappointed on how dirty things were. The table had food on it, my plate had crumbs on it and then my fork had hard food on it. So I had to request new of everything. The food wasn’t anything I would want again. The chicken was dry and the mushrooms didn’t have much flavor."

"We were in Hermosa Beach on vacation and went here for joint birthday dinners. We started with drinks. I had the Caged Tiki which is made with whiskey...it was good. My husband had the Monarch Margarita and it was really good. Had shrimp cocktail which are Jumbo shrimp and the cocktail sauce had a nice kick, my husband had a cup of the lobster bisque he said was really good... For dinner my husband had the coconut shrimp and was really raving over it. It had 3 sauces, a sweet chili sauce, a soy sauce and a coconut cream sauce which was my favorite. The side was coconut mango rice. I chose a prefix and had the salmon which came with fresh green beans (for the price though I think they could have laid the salmon on top of garlic mashed potatoes or rice)... But both were really good. Mine also came with a dessert so I chose the chocolate lava cake... very good. Service was great and you can't beat being right on the beach ...if it was clear we would have had an amazing sunset with dessert"
