"Planta in Marina Del Rey exceeded expectations as a full vegan restaurant. The ambiance is well designed and upscale setting. Although we wore athleisure and fit right in because is the west side after all. We ordered the unagi eggplant nigiri (crowd pleaser), crispy rice, the dragon roll, & truffle udon noodles. This was enough food to fill up two hungry girls. For dessert I ordered the match and we shared their Tres Leches. The dessert was delicious. The match however was too grainy for me so I swapped out for the mint tea instead. The manager came by and personally apologized for the matcha & took the tea’s off the bill. The matcha was not bad at all, just not my cup of tea (no pun intended). Regardless, customer service was above and beyond, food was even better, and ambiance is eye candy to say the least."

"This restaurant is a gem. The menu is 100% plant based and 100% delicious. It is tapas style so the plates are all shareable and come out as you order. During their December specials the Red Dragon Sushi roll was absolutely amazing. Probably the best sushi roll I’ve had. The regular dragon roll was OK but I really hope they bring the Red Dragon roll back. The eggplant Nigiri taste SO good. The flavor and the texture was perfect. No sauce was needed. Another dish that stood out were the Cesar lettuce cups— so refreshing and each bite bursting with flavor and the crunch of the lettuce wrap is the perfect addition. I’ve dined in twice now and once during their weekend brunch where they had reasonably priced mimosa and sangria specials. The interior of the restaurant is gorgeous and the outside seating has direct views of the marina. I enjoyed myself every time and I’m looking forward to trying more menu items."

"The food was good, and so were the drinks. I’m usually not a fan of plant based foods but ti thought the options here were great! The queso fundido & guacamole were my favorite. The drinks tasted great but were pretty small considering the price."

"Gone a few times already, I’ll be back soon enough. This is the best sit down, elevated, delicious, fresh, and ingenious vegetarian food in LA. Every dish does more than you’d expect as far ingredients and flavors go, and it never disappoints. The servers are helpful in selecting the best combinations, and the food comes out pretty quickly. Past that, the interior is stunning, and it’s somewhere I’d love to host a party soon."
