"This has quickly become our favorite pizza and pasta spot in SD. We used to frequent the original in Little Italy, but I think this one is way better. Plus the drive there is lovely. Food is amazing, staff is super friendly and helpful. We love this place!"
"During my two-week stay in Jamul, I decided to revisit Filippi's Pizza Grotto, having enjoyed it previously in Little Italy back in 2019. Once again, it did not disappoint. Opting for a medium pizza with half Hawaiian and half Fit for a King, accompanied by a refreshing hazy IPA, we were so eager to dig in that we skipped photographing the entire pizza – a testament to our excitement and hunger. Our server was fantastic, a truly attentive and very friendly individual who elevated our dining experience. Overall, the establishment boasts a great atmosphere with delicious pizza, ample parking, and an abundance of seating. A thoroughly enjoyable visit."
"Come with a big appetite because the serving sizes are very generous. I ordered the dinner combo, which included lasagna, spaghetti, and ravioli, along with minestrone soup, salad, and garlic bread. Everything was delicious with still plenty to take home for next days lunch or snack. Bon Appetit!!!"
