Taqueria Mi Durango

"Went to this random local mexican place to get some Tacos after landing in SFO. Ordered the Prawn Taco, Chicken Taco & Grill Fish Taco from their menu along with some fries. The place is really small, so you might not get a table, but I was lucky to find one as I went there slightly earlier than the lunch rush hour. They served Chips n Guac complimentary and pointed me to the Salsa station, which was fantastic. They offered about 6-7 different types of Salsas (varying heat level) along with pickled onions & pico de gallo. All the Salsas were great, and I could pick my favorite ones in whatever quantities. The Tacos arrived quickly and were AMAZING. The ingredients were fresh and so flavorful. Prawn & Grill fish taco were my favorites. The server did forget to get me water, so I had to ask twice, but overall was fine. The lunch hour hit, and there was a lineup at this place, so you know they are good!"

"I was in the area on Thursday dropping off two pairs of jeans for alteration at Brigette Cleaners at 241 El Camino Real. It was raining lightly and not busy. There were two young met seated in a booth as I walked in - my first time ordering from this establishment. Since I don't eat a lot of meat I decided to go with the Mushroom Quesadilla. I had worked all day in San Francisco, commuted via BART & wanted to get home. I opted to get this only, no drink. Cost with tax was over $14. I was surprised not to receive any chips with my order. As I was waited for my order a couple came in. The two young men in the booth who I thought were eating in were actually waiting for an order. The man behind the counter took their order to them. As I sat waiting in a booth, I saw the man behind the counter place another order on top of a barrel located outside behind the counter, obviously a to go order. Then my order was ready. He called out Mushroom Quesadilla but did not take my order out to me. Was it because I was the only woman. Yes, I think so. From the get go I found the man to have a condescending attitude toward me and quite rude. Of note is that I am 64. I have also had Mushroom Quesadillas before. This one was sauteed and placed on a thin paper plate covered in tin foil. Had they not placed my order in a plastic bag it would have leaked all over my car. Upon my arrival home when I removed it from the bag it had completely leaked through the paper plate onto my counter. I immediately though of the Dixie Plate commercial. No, I will not be ordering from Taqueria Mi Durango again."

"Our final meal in California and my cousin sister suggested Taqueria Mi Durango. So glad we tried this place. Each regular taco costs about $4 to 5. The Al Pastor and Fried Fish tacos are phenomenal and must order. Super highly recommended."

"Located steps from my hotel, California Mexican cuisine is to die for. Service was friendly. their Birria tacos and self serve salsa station were the highlights. They also have the cutest alleyway dining outside with decor that makes you feel you just walked through a door to Mexico. Must try if you're in the area the reviews are accurate and food was delectable."

"I was visiting SF to meet a friend and had a couple of hours to kill. After a lot of search, I came across this place and thought to give it a try. This place is a GEM. I reached around lunch hours so didn’t get a spot inside the restaurant but they have a few tables on the side as well. I ordered their crazy burrito which was loaded with fries, cheese sauce, meat, sour cream, guacamole. Amazing taste and quick service. Like i said, this place is a gem so i had to visit again. I visited this place again on the day i was leaving and decide to try their regular tacos and super tacos. This time i had al pastor, grilled chicken super tacos and fresh guacamole with chips. I ate like there was no tomorrow. I 100% recommend you guys to give this place a try and I’m sure you won’t disappoint. Will be back again"
