"Good inventory but everything is slow. I don’t know why they can’t hire staff like other Safeway stores. There are never enough cashiers so the lines are very long. Usually nobody at the deli counter so you have to find someone to page someone else and wait for them. If you need anything from a locked case, forget about it. They lock one door at sunset, and I don’t know why, but they lock the ones on the side with the carts. So you have to get a cart then walk all the way back to the open door. I’ve been at the deli counter waiting for someone to show up while I wrote this. Still waiting."

"This particular store is almost always very crowded. The merchandise and prices are standard Safeway. Having shopped at this location for years, I have never seen enough cashiers to keep the lines down. And with only 4 self-checkout stations, there is usually a line down the wine aisle for those. Some of the deli personnel don't understand English well enough for me not to have to repeat myself several times, and apparently haven't been told the difference between thin sliced and sandwich sliced meat. Honestly, if not for the convenience of being only two blocks from home, I would (and sometimes do) shop elsewhere."

"Went there for a quick last minute shopping couple days before Christmas and, surprisingly, the crowd was well controlled thanks for the self checkouts. Store is huge but clean and orderly, lots of choices for any variety of produce."

"I come here quite a bit so I thought I'd write them a review. This is the closest safeway/grocery store from home. It is very convenient with a good selection of items. I love that they have a self-checkout as the lines can get quite long. Deli staff are very friendly, however they sometimes are out of sopressata. Other than that, I can usually find everything that I need."
