"The Half Moon Bay Ritz Carlton is surely one of if not *the* premiere resort hotel and spa in the San Francisco Bay Area. We love it in all its expansivenss, greeness, oceanside-ness, peacefulness, and even its often overcast-ness. And right in its grand atrium is the restaurant they call The Conservatory. In our judgement, the menu always satisfies, including and especially the generously-portioned seafood ciopinno. And ...the views -- surely the best view of the entire resort, even better than the technically more upscale sister restaurant, Navio. My wife and I most recently enjoyed Valentine's Day lunch here. Absolutely sublime."

"With my left foot in a cast, dinner at this place was definitely a great way to celebrate valentine’s day with the husband. There was a lovely heart-shaped installation packed with roses at the entrance. It kind of got us in the mood. I was gifted a long-stem red rose. There was a special menu too! We ordered lamb chops, chicken breast, the charcuterie board, and sticky toffee pudding. The charcuterie board was so party-hearty! The preserve and the bread went so well together. The lamb chops were sturdy, and I liked the ‘cooking liquid’ on the chicken breasts. I wish the chicken breasts were infused with more flavor. The sticky toffee pudding was a DELIGHT! It was intense, top-level, and we savored every bite. Arturo helped us in the proper selection of dishes, and his service was top-notch."

"This place is gorgeous!!! We celebrated our first wedding anniversary here and the food, service and atmosphere were incredible. They offer valet services if you have a reservation. The seating is also quick. If you specifically want to have the window seats, you'd have to make the request in advance by calling them. The vegetarian options are clearly marked on the menu. Lots of options and customization available. We tried the burger and ravioli. Both were delicious! We had to order a side of fries as the burger comes with salad as a default. The salad was also quite good. The best part of our brunch was the Ritz Carlton chocolate decadent cake! The hint of orange makes it even more delicious. The wines are great and so is the cappuccino! Everything is amazing. 10/10 for large groups as well as small groups. I highly recommend trying it out!"

"Perhaps one of the only reasons for us to go to Half Moon Bay to eat. Undoubtedly, the Ritz Carlton is the purveyor of excellence. So it’s no surprise that the restaurants located in the hotel are also just as detail oriented and seek perfection before their guests do. The breathtaking views of the waves clashing against the rocks and perfectly manicured landscape embracing the hotel, are some of the features that will draw you back to this place. Our waiter Alex, was so professional and attentive. The food except for the pumpkin soup (it was too sweet for my taste), had nice presentation and absolutely delicious. The menu although not big, but it offers something for everyone. If splurging is something you consider every now and then, this is the place to be, especially if you’re an avid golfer. Loved the experience."

"The atmosphere at the Ritz-Carlton is wonderful. The restaurant is spacious and well-appointed. Just the environment we were looking for. The menu offered something for everyone - lots of high-end treats. I don't expect anything less from Ritz-Carlton. Expect prices to match - no problem with me. This was the one blemish to our evening. While good, our dinner selections were not great. And, we chose The Conservatory to be wowed. Some say presentation is essential for a top meal. Our eyes, after all, tell us what to expect. This night, we we underwhelmed. Food made it to the plate, but without purpose. Our palates were also disappointed. Good taste, but not top tier. Who wouldn't anticipate something special when duck fat fried potato fries were coming. Yet, the fries lacked crunch and flavor. In the end, we had an OK dining experience. We expected more."
