"Don’t be fooled by the tight spaces in the dining area. The food was excellent so they have lots of customers waiting to be seated. Great French onion soup - very soothing in a cold rainy day. The pate was yummy. Escargots under puff pastries were flavorful. My favorite dish was the salmon tartare. It went so well with the bite size baguette slices that came with it. Cauliflower gratin was a comfort dish and we were too full to finish it so we packed it for later. Tastes just as good second time."

"Try the black truffle gnudi! The gluten-free crackers were amazing as well. Never had such a pleasant lunch-the restaurant staff were gracious and attentive, and all of the food was delicious and beautifully plated. Attention to detail at 100%."

"Birthday trip to Napa. Outstanding experience at Bouchon Bistro. Lucked out with a last-minute seating. We had just finished our tasting at MUMM and were ready to eat when we arrived. It's clear that restaurant staff take pride in serving. Ordered the gnocchi with fresh truffles...and the server came out with a red lacquered humidor to show us the truffles before shaving them onto the gnocchi in front of us, in real time. Excellent showmanship and service. The seafood tower was impressive -- so fresh and so delicious. We were celebrating our birthdays and this was a wonderful venue with less formal and very a celebratory vibe. Looking forward to coming again."

"The restaurant is excellent, but does not warrant 5 stars. There are too many items that reflect that. The food is very good, but skimpy. The $95 Perigord menu includes chicken with truffles under the skin. The flavor of those truffles was so faint that it was barely noticeable (the mushroom sauce was excellent). The small amount of rice, the 2 minuscule, soggy, broccoli florets and mini carrots, felt cheap. I also had to return the dish since the rice was cold; not lukewarm, but cold. The dessert was 2 layers of puff pastry and some cream Diplomat. Again, small, and left me wanting. That dessert was the cheapest thing they could offer? Not even a couple of berries? My dining companion had escargots and roast chicken, which were very good. The restaurant is showing wear. Peeling paint in the bathroom that is a very cold decor and does not match the vibe of the restaurant, worn wood on the doors and the swinging doors to the kitchen. Also, the music is too loud pop/rock American that does not "work" with the ambience of the restaurant. It was actually almost grating. Bottom line: it's very good food, but you sense that each dish is measured in dollars and cents and not designed to deliver true value to the guest. With a bill nearing $250, I did not feel it was money well spent. Bouchon has a following, that is based more on over-hyped word of mouth and social media, but when it comes down to it, the restaurant is very good, not outstanding."

"Second time coming here with my beloved wife. The food menu would change from time to time. Portions may appear small but I am telling you it will fill you up. Food are savory and for the price with a Michelin badge to back it up its very reasonable . Don’t forget to try the bakery as well. Go order online while your waiting for your food . Once your done in the resto walk next door and grab your pastry to go. You don’t have to fall in line . Menu with photos online guys efficiency in managing our precious time."
