"My boss uses to say that the hallmark of a great croissant is that the layers are so flaky that you can't help but make a mess. Bella's pastries are definitely flaky and messy in a good way. We got a turnover, a spinach feta croissant, and a peach and cream filled croissant. The turnover was amazing, the spinach feta was a little sweet (like the dough had been dusted with a little bit of sugar) which I didn't love but it was still pretty good, and the peach would have been better if the peaches weren't from a can but it's the middle of the winter so can't really complain. It's definitely not a cheap place but it's worth a stop while in Calistoga."
