"The food was good, but the Mac salad had way too much pepper. It was my first visit and both the Kahlua pig and Hula Hula chicken were good. Being from Hawaii, I gauge most of my Hawaiian restaurant visits by how good the Mac salad is, as its always been my go to side. If the Mac is good, usually everything else is too. I'll go back again to try something different next time."
"Good food, good atmosphere, helpful staff and good portions. Mac salad is better than most. It has a nice peppery kick to it that I think even picky eaters might enjoy"
"Service was fine. Place seemed a bit run down from the outside. I ordered the volcanic beef. The whole meal was edible but pretty bad. The mac salad tasted terrible. I dont know how to quite describe the flavor, but it was reminicent of mayonase, italian seasoning, and another strong odd spice. Maybe cumin? The steak was clearly boiled not grilled, and was cooked welldone and beyond. Above all though, the meat tasted really cheap. Also, the sauce was haphazardly squirted on the meat. It wasnt mixed and was clearly store bought. Overall, i am confused why this place is rated 4 stars. I wonder if they changed owners becasue the food was terrible and the place is definitely a 2 star resturant."

"Great portions... Fantastic flavors ( volcanic beef and hula hula chicken)! Coworkers also said/agreed the Mac salad and other flavors ( spam, pulled pork) were spot on. I'd definitely go here again. Highly recommend."
