"i’m giving a two star because the drinks were good but the food was bad. the michelada was too overpriced, they charged us $16 for one. the beans were way too plain and rice tasted a little dry. i got the 3 combination of shrimp, diabla garlic and bacon. it was very bad compared to other restaurants i’ve been to in humboldt. the shrimp were very over cooked and the diabla one was actually undercooked.. slimy and raw. that plate was nearly $30. i probably won’t go again."
"The food was fast and hot, but plates wery cold. And food was very Americanized. No hot sauce on any table should have been my first sign. The restaurant looks like a Mexican grocery store stock room when you walk in. And the prices are just a bit higher than fair for the quality. With Fortuna being filled with Mexican restaurants, I don't think I would choose to eat here again."
"Prices are decent for the fresh food they provide. Personally felt like the aguas frescas can improve, they tasted very watered down. I ordered soft tacos to try out their meats. Carnitas was my personal favorite. Asada, adobada, chorizo were good. The kids quesadilla came with handmade flour tortillas that alone was a 10/10. The green salsa was spicier than the red but bith were very tasty. The red salsa that comes with the chips has bits of cilantro, and onion which adds a crunch. The place was very nice and clean."
"Great food, excellent service, beautiful decor. I finally tried the molcajete and it was fantastic - and enough for 3 meals! We have eaten there 3 times now, and it's definitely our new Fortuna fave. They also have a party room that looks really handy for big get-togethers."
