Tammy's Fish & Fried Green Tomatoes

"Visited this place today sadly disappointing. Ordered 2 3pcs fish plates. I’m from Mobile, Al bay so I know good fish bcus I catch it myself. For 6 pieces of fish only received three hot sauces! ( What a joke) Offered to pay more but I guess they were toooo down bad to even SELL hot extra sauce…. had to drive to an atm bcus they only accept cash… (should have left then). What REAL business turns down money right? The fish was cut/handled improperly (tasted disgusting) a real fisherman knows how to handle/cut fish. We stopped and gave both plates to the homeless ppl on the street. Passed back by and the homeless threw the plate away!!!!!!!! Whoever cut the fish I’m sure cut the gall bladder and let the insides spill wherever… ended up buying the homeless KFC… they should stick to frying wings and tomatoes bcus seafood isn’t for everyone…. Waste of $50 because the homeless wouldn’t even eat the fish…. Sooo I would say stick to tomatoes… Never tasted fish so bad in my life EVERY bite was disgusting literally!!!! I visit and support black businesses every where but this one needs to be shut down!!!!!! 0 out of 10 literally threw up when the aftertaste hit!!!!!!"

"I was on work travel and looked online for some local food. I read the reviews and every review I read, even low reviews, stated the food was great. I do not know if the location changes, but I was able to find Tammy's settled in a parking lot, where food trucks usually can be found. When I walked up to the counter, I was trying to figure out what I would like to have and stated to the young lady that I have never tasted fried green tomatoes because I do not like tomatoes. She turned to the cook to make a couple. I ordered the fried fish and the full chicken wings with hot sauce (they make the hot sauce themselves), and mango tea. My number was called and was told that I could try the fried green tomatoes on the house. OMG were they delicious!!! When the server saw my face she knew I liked them. Well I went back to my car and headed back to my hotel. ***No place to sit unless you bring chairs, a table, or eat in you car. The food was able to make an 8 minute drive and was delicious. The batter for the fish was light and the two piece is more than enough if you order something else. The chicken wings are grilled, wet, and lightly battered. When I travel back to Knoxville, I hope and look forward to coming back to good food and people."
