Penn Station East Coast Subs

"I normally don't write reviews of chain restaurants. (No one should need someone else to tell them what a McDonald's hamburger taste like.) The service at this location has, however, recently has been great and really merits a 5-star review. The food has always been good, and they offer a few sandwiches that stand out such as their grilled club, their chicken teriyaki, their Rueben, and their pizza sub. Up until recently, it seems over the last year or so they have gone through a good amount of staff turnover with some being better than others, but the current staff has lasted a while and really stepped up service. They are friendly and do a great job preparing the food, but especially seem to go out of their way to make customers feel appreciated. If you have not given the Medical Center Parkway location a try in a while, it could be worth trying again. If you do, I might also suggest going on a Tuesday. They give free sample-size cookies out on Tuesday--until they run out. (That has only happened one time for us, and the staff remembered us and made up for it the next week!)"

"First time we visited Penn Station in a very long time. We ordered two cheesesteaks and a small fry. My wife asked for tomatoes on her sandwich, which the receipt stated. We went to pay for our order and the chip reader says there was an error. Stacy said she must have hit the cord while cleaning. By looking at the counter, no one has cleaned in a while. We moved to other machine and all was good. When we got our food, my wife’s sandwich didn’t have tomatoes on it. We just let it go but people need to read the receipt when making the sandwich. Lastly, the floor and a few tables had food on them. This was at 11:05a.m. The store just opened at 11am. Disgusting . Probably won’t be back for a while. Food was actually pretty good."

"Second time this place screws up my order. First time it was via delivery so I gave them the benefit of the doubt . Now I went in person and they gave me someone else’s order after I specifically asked if they were the sandwiches I ordered (Philly and chicken teriyaki). Of course I called 3 times and no one answered. Avoid this location, you’re better off driving to the other store in Murfreesboro."

"We were here visiting, and this was the closest location for a sub. Customer service was very friendly, and also asked did I enjoy the meal. I love the fresh to cook order and would recommend this place more than Subway."

"Fresh ingredients! Unlike subway where you can’t see the toppings this place knows how to make great subs! The employees wore gloves and were very nice too! The sub tastes wonderful and the bread is fresh too! The large size is ideal for dinner and lunch the next day! Those French Fries are so good, even without ketchup, barbecue sauce, or any sauce! They have a huge bin of Potatoes! My little dog sure agrees! They disappeared FAST! Lol! The Fresh Lemonade! I can’t resist Fresh Lemonade! It was very nice even with the weather cooling down and getting dark. Yes, it is a little high but worth it. I did try a square cookie and it was just so-so. It wasn’t horrible but I would not buy again. Otherwise, the Subs, Fries and Lemonade are all Delicious!"
