Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken

"There's a reason why Gus's is World Famous Chicken. It's AMAZING! Their chicken has a little bit of spice, and you can only get it one way (no choice of mild or spicy). Their fried green tomatoes, baked beans, and their macaroni & cheese have to be tried with it. If you're still not full, you have to get a piece of that rich chocolate chess pie. Hint: Ask for it to be warmed up!"

"Stopped in ( Germantown's, Tennessee )Gus's location for a bite to eat after traveling from Louisiana. Walked in and was greeted by a server by the name of Ms. Kim. From the moment we walked in, her greeting was so warm and welcoming and the ambiance felt as if we were in someone's dining room versus a restaurant. As we waited in our food, her conversation was so delightful and she also gave us history on the area and etc; Then the food comes out- LORD HAVE MERCY! This was our first time going to Gus's so we had NO idea on how good the food was. Thank you Gus's and staff for the GREAT FOOD and Ms. Kim for making our first time a wonderful experience. You are AMAZING! Gus's chicken just added some more customers to their list!!!"

"When on a road trip you do what? Eat!!! We had just pulled up to the Memphis area and we're hot, thirsty and hungry. One of us went inside and the rest of us stayed in the car. She came outside with wings. Oh my. I didn't chicken at that time but after we ate that wing we had to go back. The chicken is fried hard yet it's juicy in the inside. It had some nice spice and heat to the flavor. I ordered a three piece. It came with Cole slaw and Baked Beans. Most times the sides are lacking. Not here. The beans really tasted like I made them myself. Ok so that must mean the coke slaw is got gonna be a hit. Nope it was good too. This is a plus. Because 9 times out of 19 something not going to be right. I'm sorry I don't have better pictures but that was because I was eating and didn't think about pics. 10/10 would recommend this location."

"Traveling for work and came across this place and was so happy! I absolutely loved it! Great service, clean atmosphere, fantastic macaroni, and oh the chicken! I could have eaten here every day of my trip and been happy. The chicken isn’t as spicy as I thought it would be so I was glad about that. And they give you honey if you ask. Will definitely be coming back here!"

"I can officially say I have been to all the Gus’s in my area. This location was very friendly and nicely decorated. The best decorated location in Memphis. The food didn’t measure up to the downtown location or Mason, TN. The food wasn’t piping hot ( fresh out the grease) like those locations. It was a good and I will give this location another try."
