"Stay as far away as possible! They have done our taxes for 6 years. Each year they have continued to decline in service. Last year we paid our IL taxes and rcvd mostly all of it back in a refund. We rcvd the refund and I still cannot get an answer as to why. Additionally, last year I reached out for on an issue and it was not addressed until we were sent to collections with the state. They also made journal entries that changed our P&L after filing taxes! When I spoke to the owner he told me that I "need to lower my expectations and that I would not be happy anywhere with how accounting is today""

"I am a CPA myself, but my return each year is such a headache that I decided to give TKO a try (complexity with LLC's and rental real estate). For both last year and this year, Cindy has been my go-to with TKO and she has not disappointed. Through her initial consultation, she knows what questions to ask to gather the full picture on what it going on in my world. She then takes this information and puts all the pieces together. I think my fear was the amount I would have to pay and all of the back and forth between myself and my tax accountants, however, neither of these are issues. I couldn't speak more highly of Cindy and her team as they aren't hounding me with questions, and also complete the work both timely and affordable (I'm sure this isn't always the case, but because of their knowledge of the industry, the work they do to uncover all tax benefits far outweighs the fees I pay). All in, I am very happy with their work, I will be a return customer, and I will continue to suggest their efforts to my network. Thanks TKO & Cindy!!"

"I hate to write bad reviews, but I am a contracted client, I can not get any responses to inquiries nor can my attorneys. My 2021 taxes are still not completed for my personal or business taxes as of July 20, 2022 . I have no idea what is going on or what I will be responsible for. Absolutely horrible communication. If you own a business this is NOT a firm you can rely on for advice or anything really."

"I used TKO for several years for my business and personal accounting and taxes. I paid a pretty hefty monthly fee for sales tax and employment taxes, account rectification etc. There were CONSTANT errors in their work and I was treated with a lack of attention and detail that was staggering. After moving to a new accounting firm, I find out my accounts were off by THOUSANDS of dollars because they had charged me for rectification and bookkeeping work they never actually did. I also find out they did not file several necessary tax forms. BUT, they still billed me for this work. Tighe Kress and Orr relegated my monthly business to junior accountants and bookkeepers that did not do their job but still billed my company the hefty monthly fees. They are now holding my tax schedules and refuse to give them to my new accounting firm, even though I have paid for all of those tax services. REVIEW UPDATE: Bob Tighe contacted me immediately after this review. We agreed to disagree on the level of service and he removed the bills for the account rectification that did not happen. They also turned over all tax schedules that I had paid for."
