Reviews
"This is a very quiet park and low traffic. There is a boat launch, day use area (the gates were closed and locked when we went, so no driving through it) and a hiking trail (Comanche Bluff Trail). The park was very clean. The day use area looked super nice with lots of picnic tables and covered areas. We were able to walk in from the Comanche Bluff Trail. There is a cool historical bridge on the trail. The Hoxie Bridge. It even comes with a spooky legend...worth going to check it out. The park sits right on the San Gabriel River so you do get some nice views."
"Loved this park! Not a lot of people. Trails were nice and shady although found lots of trash in areas we hiked. We ended up taking 5 trash bags of trash and an old gas can up and out of trails to help clean it up! We will be going back to this gem!"
"We did camping at this place. It was an amazing experience. The place is quiet and peaceful. You can explore nearby hiking places and lake. It is worth staying for a night."
"Nice clean campgrounds with access to both parks. Expect to pay half the fees of State Park admissions at ACOE camp grounds. The only down side was the bathrooms were in desperate need of remodeling and upkeep."
"Nice lake side park with beautiful wildflowers in spring, water & electric connections only with dump site in park. Substantial shelters to cover the picnic tables at every campsite. Small downside is the very limited lakeviews from campsites. Marina available at park with 2 bathhouses & playground as well. If this park is full, there are 3 other similar parks around the lake"
