"We love this pool but there have been ducks living in the pool this year. We understand they cannot remove them. My younger child is afraid to be in the pool with them. Sometimes we have to leave because she is upset."

"Visited Ridgeland Common Park as Oak Park has two pools open, Memorial Day through Labor Day. This is a much larger pool and swim area, however there is less activities for toddlers and kids. The diving boards and splash pad were practically empty before noon, so those with a Seasonal Pass will definitely get their fill of sights, sounds and splashing before the open pool times. Prepare to spend about an hour and a half after getting settled. The park district allows small snacks and canned beverages, so tuck away a power bar or two, No hard sided coolers allowed, as there are no tables for picnics. If you do bring cash, they do have vending machines tucked away at the Northwest end of the pool. I do prefer the spaciousness at Ridgeland Common Pool, just think kids and teens have more fun at Rehm. More hours and details at pdop.org."

"We came here to ice skate. The ice is open to the public on Sundays from 12:15 to 2:45pm. We paid $8 per person including skate rentals. They have lockers you can use and the support for beginners, as well monitors who just make sure no one is being crazy. There's also a separation between the main rink and a beginner area for those who need a lower paced rink. Family friendly."
