"Good, not great. There are a lot of good features, the kid's playground area is pretty unique, disk golf, paved bike, and jogging trail. Esthetically speaking, it needs work, lots of dead and downed trees, and broken pvc pipes."

"The lush greenery, serene pond, and well-maintained trails create a peaceful ambiance. Perfect for picnics or a leisurely stroll, the park offers a range of activities for families. The playground is a hit with kids, and the sports facilities are top-notch. The location is easily accessible, and the overall cleanliness adds to its charm. Whether you're seeking recreation or a quiet escape, McCord Park ticks all the boxes."

"I'm not familiar with the area so it took a while for me to find this playground. There are two playgrounds in this park and the one we wanted to visit is by the water splash park. It is a nice park with several trash cans and a water fountain (for both humans and animals) on the trail. There are two gated dog parks too."

"McCord Park is underrated, and it is underrated because many people believe that it is just another town park. In reality, there is a 3-mile nature trail called "Lakefront Trail" on the northern end of the park, and it leads all the way towards Eldorado Road to the north. As you walk down that trail, you'll experience more than just another park. It is indeed one big nature preserve. You'll encounter a section where crickets reside, different types of plants, the outerbanks of Lewisville Lake, sea turtles, and even a small waterfall deep within the shrubs of the woods. This is why I am going to contact park personnel requesting that some parts of McCord Park be recognized as a nature preserve. It will be beneficial for hiking interests, and for preserving the environment."

"Great place for a picnic under the shade of a tree. There are a few tables but very few under the shade. Parking is next to the main entrance (not shown in Google maps)."
