"What ever government agencies are responsible for mantaing this Park should be ashamed. The local park are doing an outstanding job, but the road maintenance is pitiful, as well as other indicators of adequate maintenance."
"I love a lot of Army Corp of Engineer lakes. I highly recommend getting the annual pass. You can use it at any of their lakes or reservoirs. They have parks and camping all over Texas!"
"This is an army corp of engineers park with a $5 per car insurance fee. It's not the most up-to-date facility and definitely could use some maintenance dollars, but the wildflowers this year were insane. It felt like we were walking through the California super bloom! Huge areas covered in primrose, antelope, milkweed, Indian blanket, flower, and so many other varieties of wildflower. Absolute magic that it will be gone in a couple of weeks..."
"Wouldn't recommend it for walking, especially solo. The place is pretty abandoned, it felt like a horror movie could be filmed here. Trails aren't maintained; good for horses but not people. Perhaps it was better when it was staffed, but I was not comfortable."
