Subat Forest Preserve

"This is one of my fave places to walk my dog! Its open enough to keep her happy but small enough that I people go to the bigger parks near by making it a nice private place to walk my girl."

"Nice picnic shelter, gravel parking lot, and a old fashioned hand water pump. We were here a short time for a girl scout even. I hope to come back sometime and try the trails."

"Just so pretty out here! Love the many small trails that lead out to the prairie and to the river. The bathroom is pristine; it's actually cleaner than some hotels I've stayed in ;) Otherwise-- Be careful, lots of ticks this season already."

"Nice small patch of woods along the creek and prairie preserve for an easy loop walk, also an outdoor bathroom open seasonally, nice pavilion and an overlook deck down a short path to the right."

"Overall, extremely underwhelming. The overlook is to the right, although it doesn't actually overlook much of anything. The trail is to the left, past the bathroom, but unfortunately, it isn't much of a trail. Very short, and the vast majority of it is in the open field off to the side. If you're looking to hike, take my advice and go to Silver Springs State Park, which is right down the street."
